Newborn grunts
My 2 week old baby grunts and bears down in her sleep. Sometimes it is followed by passing of gas and poop but otherwise looks like she is trying hard to feel comfortable :(
She is breastfed and has normal/runny consistency poop. I’m not sure why she grunts coz she’s definitely not constipated :( is this normal ?
Unfortunately yes, it's normal. They don't have full control of their little butt muscles yet so there is a lot of straining and grunting. My little one often wants to go in the boob when he's trying to go x
