Struggling

Morning ladies is anyone struggling with the simplest tasks? I’m 31+1 and everything just seems to take it out of me. I have my baby shower today and I’m not sure how I’m going to get through it. I’m not sleeping like at all. Even putting a load of washing in the machine requires a 10 min sit down afterwards. My OH is doing everything he can but we both work full time so share the household jobs. I’m taking my vitamins plus eating a healthyish diet (LO like cookies). I don’t know what else to try and get me through the next 9 weeks any suggestions?

Hi hun I’m 31+1 too and feel exactly the same just feel like everything is wayyyyy to much effort and leaves me feeling exhausted. The only thing I’ve found helps a bit is sipping high glucose drinks throughout the day (no know it’s not healthy and all that jazz but it honestly helps. We always have a supply of caffeine free cola in the fridge just to keep me going) hope you have fun at your baby shower today xxxxx

I have been trying to avoid the glucose drinks but right now I’m so tempted plus I was thinking of having a coffee (I know I shouldn’t) but literally had about 3 my whole pregnancy whereas before I’d be having 2 or 3 a day. There’s a costa drive thru round the corner and right now I can feel it pulling me in

To be honest sweetheart if you feel you need coffee then I’d say go for it but just don’t go over board with it…. It’s exactly how I felt with sugary drinks tried to stay away from them for my pregnancy but since 28 weeks I just had enough and needed the energy xxxx

Honestly, it's the lack of sleep you need sorting. No food/vitamins/caffeine can replace that. Take naps whenever you can. Or rest the body & mind with a long relaxed lie down, even if you can't sleep. For the baby shower, just stay in your chair and let others come to you with food, games & well wishes :3
