Low back pain

Is anyone still having low back pain as a result of the epidural? My back hasn't been the same. It doesn't hurt constantly but when my back stiffens up it's pretty bad.

my upper/mid back yes

Yes I have backpain since pregnancy and now it’s may be due to epidural. Gets stiff in the lower back and won’t go away easy

@Mansi that's exactly how mine feels - and it stops me from whatever I was trying to do every time. I got a deep tissue massage for Mother's Day and that has been the only thing to temporarily help.

@Lisa wow. I'm hoping this heals itself and soon

@Tara same! do u also get tingling?

@Lisa I get tingling and sharp sensations feels like a big knot of pain

@Tara yes!! i guess i slept wrong the other night and i TWEAKED that area of my back. a new sensation ive been having is a pinching like i got stung by a bee 🙃 if this all isnt from the epidural then i’m just getting old 😂

@Lisa lol!! I still sleep on my pregnancy pillow for that reason! If I lay flat I can't get up on my own the following day my husband has to help me

Mine was killer the first two weeks after, I couldn’t stand it. I cried and slept on heating massage pads and used one just about 24/7. My back still hurts sometimes when stiff but nothing compares to the pain of those first two weeks so it doesn’t even bother me now, lol.

@Alexis oh I feel you there! Lol the first month of pain was excruciating for me lol I can't even begin to compare that Lmao but I had so many complications following my c-section everything felt like that. Now I'm okay until it gets stiff. My low back just feels horrible when it does happen

@Tara I also had a c section, I wonder if the back pain is related to that?? All the pressure and pushing and pulling + the strong epidural. Idk but I was struggling fr for two weeks. I could not understand how I would eve be able to walk properly again. I was so scared at how weak my body was. I’m so grateful for this recovery, I was praying so hard.

@Alexis you have a great point...I just automatically thought of the epidural but you're so right - it could be the c section in general. I couldn't walk for 11 days...I was total care. And my back was on fire. It's crazy you mentioned prayer because I've never prayed so much in my life and I'm a spiritual/religious person I was terrified. I spent most of March in the hospital

@Tara im on my way there 😂

@Tara @Alexis i had a c section too 👀

@Lisa *side eye* lmao 👀 ok now I'm almost positive this isn't coincidental. I fell asleep on the couch in between these messages and my back did it's thing as soon as I woke up lol this is crazy

@Tara what do we do 😩😩😩

I’ve had lots of lower back pain but I think it’s from holding my baby/bending down/sitting on the floor playing with him on his mats. I went to a postpartum pilates class a week ago and I’ve had zero back pain since then!

@Lisa I have a chiropractor but I haven't been back since giving birth because I'm scared lol idk what will help this

@Rachel that could def contribute - I know mine is from the epidural or surgery itself...because originally I couldn't bend at the waist at all...but still had the pain

@Tara not for nothing but my tingling started AFTER i got adjusted.. almost like the realigning of my spine irritated a nerve? i hate not having the answers… i’m just praying to jesus for healing at this point 😩🙏🏼

@Lisa me too girl me too! And I do believe it's some type of nerve damage.

@Tara sounds like a diagnosis only the Lord can heal 🙏🏼 praying for u too!

Same and c section 👀

@Lisa likewise girl! ❤️

@Oriane that's wild - that back pain is truly no joke
