Walker

My boy is 9.5 months old and has started to pull himself up onto things. He has a jumperoo at the moment and I’m looking at second hand walkers but is there any point in getting a walker at his age? Are they still good for when they start walking on their own? The walkers are going for around £15-£25 near me so I don’t want to get one if he can’t use it when he starts to walk

@Kiah yes that will happen just pull him up and walk with him holding it. We bought one of those u put them in but he’s to tall for it so his feet get caught behind him. Do what u need to but it sounds about right! They’re learning some take longer than others my son will use it but doesn’t know how to turn everything has it’s corks. But he sound like he’s doing great my son stood for like 2 months before stepping. Or walking

@Haisey🧿 we do have a push one but he’s only just starting to pull himself up so he’ll get to his knees then it will just roll away from him unless I help. Maybe I’ll keep trying with that before I get the walker you put him in x

I wouldn’t recommend a Walker u put them in but maybe a push Walker would be a bit more beneficial since they can use the toy after they learn to walk My guy is walking it’s been a month it takes awhile for balance so some days he uses it n others he doesn’t as he’s comfortable just walking. But definitely would recommend if you have the money. Our was gifted but he learned to walk not using it! So if you can’t get on I would honestly not stress it!! 🫶🏽✨

I got one from Amazon, it was £17.99 I think , fisher price! She isn’t quite using it for the walking yet but loves the interactive toys on the front! It will be good in the long run! X

@Kirsty okay I think I’m gonna go for it as we don’t have much his height for him to pull himself up on to help encourage it! Oh that’s the area I’m from, maybe I need to look on marketplace properly 😂 thank you x

@Nikki ooo this is one I found on Facebook so I might get it then! He loves his bouncer and we don’t have a lot of furniture his height or toys at the moment for him to be able to pull himself up easily so I think I’ll go for it then. Thank you!

we had one from 8 months when she started pulling up! she started walking at 9 but they’re usually quite wobbly finding their feet for a while she used to push it all over the house and play with the buttons ect! but I don’t think you neeed one lots of children learn to walk without one🤷🏼‍♀️ there is loads on my market place (Sherborne, yeovil) going free or £5-£10 x

Short answer yes. Will be worth it my lg is now 10 months & fully walking, we got her a walker when she started pulling herself up on furniture too & within afew weeks with help from the walker her confidence grew to let go on her own. We got her the my first steps walker which has an activity board on the front so she still plays with it.. id recommend looking in charity shops as u can usually pick them up in there for next to nothing & with a quick scrub down they r like brand new & saves the pennies too.. hope this helps xx
