What are you doing to stop you from going mad?

Hey everyone, I want to firstly say that I am over the moon to be pregnant it's taken absolute years to happen for me and my husband. Besides being knackered all the time, I'm pretty bloody bored! I live away from friends, the friends I have made locally are all at a different life stage. What are you all doing to beat the boredom? My weekends used to be drinks and dinners, the gym (which I can't do now as I'm an IVF pregnancy have big ovaries). Does anyone else feel this way?

Omg I feel the same! I have a lot of creative hobbies but I just feel too exhausted to put my mind to anything!

First off congrats 🥰 I'm similar in that all my close friends live far away and I haven't yet made many friends locally. I've been rewatching my fave series and when I feel v sick (most days) I force myself on a little stroll, only like 20 mins and quite slow and I've found this helps :) especially if you can find a nice view, maybe a bench with maybe a book or audio book :) x

The not telling everyone is extremely hard! The weeks definitely seem to go a lot slower when you have big news to share! 😩 I know exercise is off the table in your situation but definitely see if light walking is permitted as at least that way you’ll be getting out and about whilst also getting your steps in like CeeCee said. You could still go for dinners and lunches without drinks or the cinema maybe? Or have a look for any local live music that’s on in bars/pubs? Most places round where we live have live music on set nights. I also go to the pub quiz once a week too. If you’re having to hide the not drinking from friends you could always just say you’re driving and have already had one before they’ve arrived. Xx

@CeeCee I'm not allowed to do any exercise until my ovaries return to normal. I do feel sick. I know what you mean can't wait to feel normal and tell everyone. Comedy clubs a great idea xx

Honestly I haven’t had time to be bored due to being so exhausted and sick, after work I need to nap, try to eat, maybe watch a show and go to bed. I’m counting one day to the next to be able to tell people and feel more normal. You should be able to still do some exercise no? I still go to my PT once a week and she has adapted everything. What about pregnancy yoga? Definitely get your steps in if you can. If you don’t feel sick I would still go out for some sober dinner or nights like comedy club or cinema? x
