Finding time to workout

Hey mamas! New mom to a 2 month old baby here.. fitness is something I used to rely on to help with anxiety and since I just got cleared to workout I’m thrilled as I’m suffering with PPA. Any advice on how to workout when your baby doesn’t allow you to put them down for more than 10 minutes?

definitely going for walks helped because she was able to sit in there 30-60 mins. ive been doing workouts around my babe whenever i can fit a few sets in. started waking up at 6am to be able to get at least a half hour to myself to actually put sets together. & like Nicole said, doing workouts where i can hold my baby & use her like my weight. anything that you can do is a win xx

Walking with baby or working out before they wake up or once they go down for bed. It was the only way I could get some alone time for me. I personally could not stop taking care of the house if baby was down to actually workout, so for my own mental health I HAD to go to a gym. And me personally (who still doesn’t get a full night of sleep or even uninterrupted sleep 18 months later🥲) the only way I found energy to even do a workout was Psychotic preworkout. It’s so super strong. But I suggest finding something that works better for you.

I would get up early in the morning before everyone is awake and do a YouTube workout until my baby got older. No interruptions and I got it out the way. Great way to start the day!

Thank you everyone for the suggestions! We’ve been walking around the nearby lakes everyday but I’ve been craving a good workout. Gonna wake up early tomorrow before the babes is up and try to work in a little me time haha wish me luck (if not I’ll just be using my girl in the wrap lol)🤞

Put them in a sling and workout with them

Do you have a support system? If not, do mini workouts. Can do 1 or a few times a day. I used to workout w my baby using a baby harness and a jogging stroller. Just finding something that works for you and your LO that you enjoy.

I started with long walks with baby is the stroller or baby wearing if it wasn’t too hot. It’s not impossible to do full workouts when they’re that young but it’s very difficult.. eventually they start taking longer naps during the day and that’s when I do my workouts. Now my youngest is 9 months so he takes one 2 hour nap per day where I’m guaranteed that time to workout. In the beginning I would just do squats or crunches while holding him 😂 lay baby on the mat and make faces while you bird dog/plank or push up.. mine loved that lol just had to get creative

@Alyssa yes I just had her favorite rattle in my hand during squat jumps ! Thank you for the advice 💓

I used to use my baby as weight instead of dumbbells
