How is your bedside crib positioned?

Have you moved your bedside table out of the way so that the top of the crib is in line with the headboard of your bed or have you put your bedside crib further down the bed? Putting mine up this evening 😁

Here we will have to remove bedside cabinet. Firstly because if not they'd be a bit too close to the radiator, and secondly will make it easier for me to get out of bed as if they're further down I'll have to do a big shimmy! They have to sleep with their feet at the bottom anyway so headboard looks about right from our bed x

Ours will be in front of the bedside cabinet instead of in line with the headboard, it will also be on my husbands side but that’s what will work better for us, might be worth trying it a few different ways and seeing how it works better for you x

Moving bedside table because otherwise it’s right by the radiator - which, of course, will not be on! But it reduces room 😊 so exciting that we’re starting to get beds ready EEEK

I'm thinking I will have to put ours at the foot of the bed if that will work because even if I move the side table it will still be right behind the door and there is no room on partners side

I didn’t move my bedside table out of the way, I’d say the crib is about a third of the way down but I somehow sleep quite far down the bed anyway😂 so I’d be laying slightly higher on bed than the baby x

Yep our cabinet is out and then Next2Me goes level with my chest really. Probably could squeeze the bedside cabinet in there but would just rather have the room around the cot

If it's a next to me, it needs to be just below your pillows to avoid accidentally pushing them into crib while sleeping. If it's a moses basket it can be as high or low as you want as not right next to you, I had mine below pillow line anyway so I could see baby with ease. This time I have the next to me so will be following the instructions they have given (below pillow line). We have it up in our room but not in position yet, we'll do that once baby arrives 😊

My table is still there as no room anywhere else. The drawers I have turned outwards now and the crib is in front of them attached to the bed so it’s more in the middle of the length of the bed than the top of that makes sense. And it leaves us a little room to wiggle out of bed at the bottom. The bed is against the wall on my partners side

Also, I kept my bedside table where it is but it is a thin one. I used it for the portable night light (could be very dim for late night nappy changes/feeds), and I put a mini fridge on it as well to store breast milk I expressed overnight and then formula when we switched so I didn't have to keep trekking up and down the stairs at all hours. Had a bottle warmer on top of the fridge as well. I have a 3 tier trolley on the end of the crib/moses basket with everything I needed as well, like nappies/wipes/cream/breast pump/swaddles/baby vests/pyjamas/nipple cream/breast pads etc so again I didn't have to faff about finding stuff if needed in the night like if she had projectile vomited or pooped everywhere in the night 😅.
