@Topaz awww it’s so refreshing to listen to that positive outlook on it! Thank you 😁 and yes, work will definitely be harder when our bumps are about! Xx
Hiya! I think everyone's body is different and shows at different times. I am 21+5 and have grown a lot the last 2 weeks but before that just felt like I looked bloated and not very nice! It's easy to compare yourself to others and I think with your first (like us) you generally take longer to show as your stomach muscles are still in tact 😂 people shouldn't make comments but they can't help it! Stay positive about it and enjoy your clothes still fitting as they won't for much longer 😆 Hope you start to feel better soon xx
Exactly everyone is different and just take everyday as it comes. The important thing is baby is healthy and you are feeling okay. Take the positives from it. 1. You can wear your own clothes for longer. 2. More energy generally with not having to carry round the bump. The 20 + week period the baby will grow lots so our bump will definitely grow more now we have reached this point. I've had so many people say to me you don't look pregnant. But equally my friends who were showing early were being told they were going to be huge! I think everyone just likes to judge don't they! Enjoy the process and try not to stress.
It’s so crazy how our bodies respond so differently to pregnancy. I’m the worst at comparing myself but have the opposite experience to you. I’ve had a visible bump since about 10 weeks, but I’ve also put on so much weight in my face, legs and arms. I’m comparing myself to those at the same stage wishing I was their size/smaller. I definitely can’t take my own advice, but maybe it shows that the grass is always greener. So long as baby is healthy, that’s the main thing!
Exactly. I am having issues with my boobs. My boobs are so swollen and have ballooned. I hope they calm down. @Rachel I wonder if this could be fluid retention? I think we always want what we don't have. Like you said the important thing is that you are feeling healthy and okay and baby is okay. This is a once in a life time experience and we need to try and enjoy it as much as possible. 😁😁😁😁
I'm 23+3 and I don't feel very bumpy! I think a lot to do with babies position and how much fluid you may be carrying 🤷🏻♀️ I can empathise as I'd love a shapely tum too! ❤️ x
I was same! 18 weeks no belly, my friends was saying you pregnant but don't look like you are and then at 19 +2 I woke up with belly! There was nothing and then boom big belly! A bit of a shock not gonna lie but at the same time happy to see my bump growing x
I never had a noticeable bump until the start of the third trimester . My bump changes daily depending on baby's position if baby's back is against my stomach I look pregnant if baby is against my back I just look chubby lol I've gone more out on my hips though so that could be making a difference with appearance . I'm 35 weeks and even with a bump where everyone is constantly saying " you don't look that big for how far along you are " my baby girl is weighing and measuring Perfect and we have been told how well she's doing the whole pregnancy so I wouldn't stress it too much everyone's body works differently some people pop overnight too so stay positive and remember to live yourself xx
I'm in the same boat as you and I'm absolutely loving it! First baby also! I was buying a baby outfit today and they said to me I hope your friend enjoys it. They automatically assumed I was buying for someone else as I don't look pregnant. I am very hungry and have gained weight generally. My boobs are massively swollen but my bump is the same stage as yours. The longer I can go the better as I am a teacher also and it means doing my job is easier without being bigger with a bump. Our time with a bump will come and we will wish we were back at this stage. Just try and enjoy it while we can! 😁😁😁
