This was my daughter though I absolutely loved it because it was when her little personality came out most 😂😂 I kinda encouraged it if I’m honest.. she used to pull all the tissues out of the box and heartedly laugh uncontrollably 😂😂 though it wasn’t funny anymore when her bedtime was like 10pm as a pose to 8pm so we would do down time earlier and got her into a routine of play time bath time bed. I would give her a bottle in her cot with lights off and walk out the room do some cleaning then return with the dummy and shut the door she was asleep within minutes xx however would wake multiple times in the night. Then around 26 months she would go down with bottle and dummy and sleep right through x
Hi my son is 20 months and exactly as you describe Also bf and feeds to sleep and wales multiple times He does the same has his usual routine and ask him if he’s ready for bed and feed then he has it and becomes hyper then will settle to feed again seems half asleep then jumping around again. He is a lot better if he has had outdoor time and lots of boisterous play just before bed so maybe try that It has also helped taking the sides off his cot bed, setting up the bed for him to spend time in and to understand it’s the place to sleep but is slow progress Have tried just not feeding him to see if he is ready to stop - but that didn’t go down well 🤣
My LG is always like this before bed and we have to burn all her energy either by tickling or a little rough play. She will then settle and fall asleep. It seems totally strange as every professional says bedtime should be calm.
Thank you everybody for your replies! Yeah we try a calm bedtime but same if doesn’t seem to have the desired effect 😂 and similar to some I can’t help but find it funny at times, she just goes absolutely mad jumping around laughing at herself, trying to make us laugh! Perhaps I’ll just accept that our bedtimes look slightly different to others 😂 she’s a little ball of energy, sometimes when I’m exhausted the silliness does become tedious but she does eventually get tired of it! X
My baby girl does this every night, and has since about 6-7 months! We just set aside bedtime as time to engage her, give lots of cuddles, play on the bed, read, get her giggles out. We call it our “get Phoebe’s wiggles out time” lol. I know the recommendation is to have a quiet peaceful nighttime routine, but that just doesn’t work for her!
