KIT days

Just wondered does anyone know, it says on the government website you can do 10 KIT days without it effecting your maternity pay. But I’m only having 15 weeks off so can I still do 10 KIT days? Or do you need to be off for 39 weeks? Is it pro rata? Don’t want to lose my MA by doing 10 days

I would speak to citizens advice or maternity action for the best clarification x

Im not sure about taking them meaning you lose MA but you defo dont have to work the full day, its down to your employer, you could literally work for an hour or join 1 meeting or do training etc and it would still count as a KIT day that you’d get your full pay for so worth taking if you can. Im planning on taking them when my smp ends
