Help advise needed

Last month I changed over to utrogestan. Following the two weeks on two off that I was doing on my combined patches. I had a bit of spotting. Now I’m about to start the utrogestan tomorrow. My period has only just arrived today. Do I carry on as normal and hope my cycle will right itself?

Yes you do

Carry on as normal with utrogestan. I had the same and menopause doctor advised to stick with the timings and days. Once I forgot to take progesterone and my periods started naturally after a few days. The doc said to start taking progesterone for the remaining days to stick with two weeks on and two off. I forgot four days so continued taking for 10 further then two weeks break.

@Vio I thought I might skip this month. Crazy hormones. Thanks for your advice.

Hormones stabilise after a couple of months. If you stop then it might take longer for them to normalise though of course it is your choice. For me personally taking HRT was such a relief I will stick with it however when I was younger I couldn’t take pills as they were causing havoc with my hormones so had to stop after a month. Everyone should listen to their own body. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks, I’m not planning on stopping. Definitely think the hrt is helping me.
