Venting on financial issues

I am so… frustrated and upset with myself. I feel sad and helpless and broken. I am 34 and a Very single mommy of a 4 year old boy working a full time job making decent money.. Despite working my butt off, I still can’t manage to make my bills. I literally never buy anything extra for myself, just basic bills and internet for my son. Here I am late on rent again by A LOT. Life is so expensive and I feel like I just can’t do it alone, I feel like I’m failing my son by always being late on rent or the car note or both and risking losing the things I need to be able to provide for him. I don’t even know what to do to fix the issue. Like if I got a second job, not only would he never see me and would I be exhausted but I’d also have to spend the money I made at a second job on longer childcare hours or a night nanny. Seems pointless. And hopeless.

I’m sorry that you’re going through this and feel like you’re failing your kiddo. It sounds like you are doing everything you can to be a good mom and provide. Without knowing the specifics of your budget, could you maybe look into different childcare that is more cost-effective? Maybe Nanny share might be a good way to save some money? Maybe you could also look into a different job or company? Perhaps you could find something that pays a bit more? I know it’s easier said than done. And I know advice from strangers is probably not worth much, but I hope things get better. Happy to listen if you just want or need to vent some more.

I’m already doing nanny share. And I have a pretty good job as it is. Its the best money I think I could get for my field of work right now. I might have to find some work over weekends but not sure where I’ll find childcare for Saturdays and Sundays. It’s just a little hard to find care that comes to me because I live in a rural area

Thank you though for your kind words ❤️‍🩹

If you want to send me a message I’d be happy to review your budget with you and see where you can try and save! I can also help with couponing and meal planning around discounted foods 🤗

A good side hustle where you can have your little one is pet nannying. You can start on rover & it’s a peak season.
