New born gas relief help

Hello, my lg is 2 weeks old and has a lot of gas, it won’t let her sleep. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it? We do tummy massages, bicycle legs, tummy time and burps. She is exclusively breastfed ( I also have gas!). Not sure if there is a diet I can try or common food causes or any other suggestions apart from gripe water. Thanks x

Following, im facing the same issue. My baby is 3 weeks and she used to sleep 2-3 hrs but now she is waking up crying every 30 mins or so :/

Same😩

Following, same issue with my 5 week old 😮‍💨

I ebf and I amended my diet, a lot of things can make you, and in turn your baby, bloated - beans, cabbage, peas, corn, lentil, cauliflower, broccoli, grapes, apple peals, onion.... I would cut out these first. 2nd I would start drinking cumin or anise tea - they will make both of you pass wind easier. 3rd, if they struggle, use Frida Baby Windi - I looks scary to use, but I promise it won't hurt and you might hear some wind 4th, I actually ended up cutting out dairy as my baby had colic pain and it got rid of all the pain Good luck

Now they!! Are a set of gorgeous lips! 👄 🥹🤩

@Lenka how long should you avoid something when you’re testing what works for baby n what doesn’t? Like do I exclude dairy for a day and see how my baby is for the day/night? Or longer?

Their digestive system is immature and that's the reason they have gas/reflux etc. You can try drinking cumin tea but otherwise my midwife told me me eating gassy food doesn't pass through blood. Also, the baby needs to learn to digest and pass wind. Warm baths definitely helps them a little. Tummy time too. But honestly sometimes they have to learn to pass gas. It slowly gets better after few weeks :)

@Mimi dairy can take 1-2 weeks to get out of the system, depending on your intake.... But we saw reduction in her pain from day 3 - each day she would cry for shorter period, so that gave me hope we were on the right track. With other foods you should see difference by next day - let's say you have beans every day now, if you don't eat any today and this was the issue, tomorrow baby should be fine or nearly there

@Lenka thanks hun xx will try it out. Hate seeing him in discomfort 😿😿

Infocol!! My little one was the same! And my midwife suggested it and oh my he is bribing the wing up, both ends!

@Jasmine does infacol have any side affects? Xx

Have you tried mylcon or mommy's bliss love?

1/4 th of a regular size black cardamom and half a tablespoon of fennel seeds boiled and cooled down to a cup. Add 1 tablespoon in each feed of breastmilk/ formula. My son never had passed wind since 3 weeks old. No matter what I eat. Since the rare combination of enzymes in these two super foods doesn't let gas be released as part of digestive process.
