Settling baby in pram / car seat!

My baby is 10 days old and she just hates the car seat / travelling in the car and also going out in the pram. I’ve found for both she can manage about 10/15 mins where she’s wide awake looking round confused but then any longer she starts screaming and is distressed and nothing will settle her. I’ve tried mid walk stopping for a feed but as soon as she’s back in the pram and we’re moving she’s screaming again 😂 I’m wondering if anyone has any tips? I know she’s very little and just doesn’t like being away from me so if I just can’t go out much at the moment, it’s fine but some people seem to be put all the time with their newborns and I know it would be good for my mental health to be out and about! I’m also looking at getting a sling so I could at least walk, but sometimes the car is unavoidable! I thought the movement was supposed to calm babies! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Picture provided for cuteness and also to show her face the first 10/15 mins of the situation 😂

Maybe try to feed her before and when fall asleep then go for a walk? No clue, I doing this way and my little is totally opposite absolutely love walks and always sleeping

have to say.. she is a real wee cutie!

We put our baby nest in the pram to make it more confined and he likes it a lot

Try to get her to fall asleep on your arms and then transfer and then walk maybe? Might find it hard to settle on her own yet, she is still so little. Mine took some time getting used to a pram, but it's better each day and now can even settle herself

My little ones exact same !! Everytime we go in the car she screams like she’s being murdered 😫 and pram she lasts about 15 min looking around but then cries and has to go in the sling 🙈 xx

@Sophie second this! Life changing It’s the cosy dream by baby moov

I normally go our after a feed/change/burp and she can sleep a full 4hrs in her pram she loves it, but the cat seat absolutely not 🤣

@Georgina @Sophie agreed! This is a dream and helps baby girl feel nice and cradled without it being dangerous.

I’ve just ordered the cosy dream hopefully it works for us too 🤞😂 xx

Had the same issue with my baby the first weeks… eventually she just got used to it! But by the 3rd month we switched to the next version of the stroller and just layed it flat… it got better! My doctor said that maybe she had silent reflux that’s why she hated the flat situation of the stroller…. Make sure to also check if your settings are correct for the car seat. As new moms, we have no clue! So my poor baby was so uncomfortable with the newborn inlay because she was a big baby and I didn’t know and just followed “newborn rules”!
