Safe to use lube, please help

Sometimes me and my partner use a bit of lube if we are being adventurous in the bedroom and I read the tube the other night and it contains spermicide and says can slow sperm down (great 🤦🏼‍♀️) I’m trying to find a basic normal lube I can discreetly replace it with that isn’t aimed at conceiving but won’t prevent it if that makes sense. Can anyone advise me what to look for, I’m guessing I need one that doesn’t contain spermicides but I’m stuck and don’t want to accidentally rule myself out every month when we use lube

Pujr. Its a german brand and is so slick its like fresh silk sheets on a clean bed. Totes worth it

Preseed or conceive plus are the ones which wont harm sperm. Its not designed to get you pregnant, it just helps the sperm travel as it works the same way your cervical mucus around ovulation would. Can still use condoms to prevent pregnancy and avoid sex around fertile window but can also help if you do decide to conceive https://www.boots.com/pre-seed-fertility-lubricant-40g-10244954

@Ellie Artuso where can you buy this from?

@Joanna I’ve seen these but daren’t buy anything fertility focused at the minute as I’ve seen mixed reviews about if they work

Can get it online via Boots the chemist ☺️

So if it says it doesn’t contain spermicides does that mean it’ll be ok?

In general lube might ‘slow’ them down as it’s not a natural fluid for them to move through, but as long as it’s not got spermicide in it won’t kill them off actively. You could go for quite a basic one like durex, they do an aloe Vera one, or go for hanx which is a bit more high tend. I’d just grab some proceive which will be easier for them to move through! This is another one you could look at https://www.boots.com/knect-personal-water-based-lube-was-ky-jelly-50ml-10085537 As long as it says not a contraceptive/not spermicidal etc it will still give you a chance!

@Daisy I’m using a durex one now that says doesn’t contain spermicide but slows sperm down which I really don’t need haha. I might try the one you’ve linked for now, I’m going to hold off buying the fertility focused ones just yet as we’ve not been trying long so want to try and do it without ‘help’ at the minute if that makes sense

Ive found it on amazon!!
