Car seat

How old is he? If he’s only a month or two they say to only have them in there for 30 mins max. If they’re older then up to 2 hours but they’re best off sleeping flat on their back whenever possible. I find when my boy is deeply asleep I can transfer him out of the car seat without waking him

@Sophie I literally struggle to get him out the car seat hes only 6 weeks

I've only ever seen to keep them in for no longer than 2 hours never knew there was an age limit to it too 🤦‍♀️ must keep that in mind

Unless your car seat lies flat??

Mine lies flat but would get him out after 2 hours max. If he falls asleep in the car I just bring him up in the seat and gently undo the straps

i would just remove him as soon as you’re home - it’s not worth the risk. there was a case where a 1 year old died of positional asphyxia after being left to sleep in the car seat. it’s even riskier with young babies.

I took him out as soon as i seen your guys comment thanks :) also what if im on a long car journey and been shopping then back in car thatll probz be more than 2 hours what do i do

Take him out for 20 mins or more then put him back in. Its all to do with the way their body grows really as well as other things xx

@Kayla okie dokie thanks i think im going to start taking the other part of the pram the basinet part but he loves looking around and wen hes lying flat he cant see anything lol xx

@iyla definitely use the basinett part! I was always told car seat = only for the car. You could always use a carrier which would give him more of a view maybe! X

Agree with other posts- limit it and make sure to take baby out if using it as a pram around shops etc. My baby gets so hot in them so in this weather particularly it isn't great. Its also about their position and oxygen levels etc. There's a good Facebook group called car seat safety UK which has loads of advice

Baby should only be in car seat for 30 mins, Car seat shouldn’t go on pram wheels always take them out and put them in park baby should lay completely flat because of their spine it can cause issues if you sit them up this young. Try a baby carrier but you can’t carry them looking outwards until they 6 months. I moved my little girl over at 12 weeks t the seat part but still laid her completely flat. Their spines can not cope with the pressure from sitting yet
