@Mariah thank you for your reply, I would love to just go there since that was the plan all along. Happy to hear you had a good experience
I am delivering at baby place as well, my last 2 were delivered at Morton plant. Great experience there. I am sure it's just a case by case and everyone's story is different. I have known several people that delivered at baby place and had great experiences.
I delivered there in 2017 and 2019. Both good experiences but that was due to my doctor/midwife. The nurses with the hospital were just whatever. The hospital was clean tho.
Not sure if Bayfront Baby Place is still an option for you but I delivered there and had a good experience. If you haven’t done the tour yet, I definitely recommend it. I had an unmedicated birth and my birth plan was respected. My only complaint would be the guidance I received when I was having issues with my daughter latching. If I had done more research I would have advocated differently but I wasn’t prepared so I just went with their advice.
I’ve had to go a few times this pregnancy to labor and delivery triage at Baby Place and they have been fantastic! I’m also delivering there as well
Breath of Life birthing center is magical. The people there are so wonderful and warm. I felt very safe there. They accept Medicaid. It’s in largo
Morton Plant is amazing or St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital in Tampa
Any updates mama? I hope you had an amazing birth and soaking up newborn snuggles right now 🥰
I also had a good experience at Bayfront Baby Place. At one point I even requested a new room because there was a very loud malfunctioning computer outside of my room that kept going off and was keeping me and my husband up all night. They accommodated and moved us as soon as another room came available and kept us informed as to when we could move. They had us moved within a couple of hours. I found that my best experience as to my birth plan was under the care of my OB and their doulas. I did not get the best experience with the Bayfront nurses—they were trying to prep me for the worst case scenarios. If you decide to stick with Bayfront, just try to take the info you get from the Bayfront nurses info with a grain of salt because your birth plan is really between you and your OB. The hospital nurses see the worst case scenarios all the time so maybe they’re a little bit it’s jaded? That’s the only way I can describe it.
I had my son at Bayfront Baby Place, and I had a good experience. I wanted a natural birth but ended up with a c section, and my scar looks really good. They respected what I wanted even though my body couldn't do it. We tried every method before talking about a c section.
