Hipp Organic formula

Are you all familiar with the Hipp organic formula? My baby was taking similac but we changed to Hipp organic. He starts getting fussy with gas and colic more often. Thoughts on this formula ??? It is a European formula.

No experience with this formula sorry! Have you tried internet?

@Reagan yes. After an extensive research I came across this formula and decided I’d go for it. I was pretty confident about it but now not anymore. I read that giving the baby warm formula might lead to gas. I’ll try to either give cold or room temperature and see if something changes.

all 3 of my girls have had HiPP Organic as well as breastfed. there is a Comfort version that helps with colic and gas, my youngest (16 weeks) is on the anti reflux version

My LO is combi fed and was on Enfamil A+ for about a week starting at 1 week old, then we transitioned to the Dutch Hipp stage 1 and saw no increase in gas. She is quite gassy in general but it doesn't seem to cause any issues for her and doesn't seem to directly be from Hipp, at least not compared to Enfamil A+.

Give it a couple of weeks, any change in formula takes a while to adjust

@Gurj we used the Dr Brown bottles with our middle girl and they were awesome. were now using the Tommee Tippee Anti Colic ones with the youngest

I used it before my baby was diagnosed with CMPA! X

@Kat oh good to hear that. I didn’t know they have a comfort version. Maybe that could be a good option as well. I’ll talk to his pediatrician.

@Stacey yes! Maybe I’m overreacting. I recently changed. But seeing him so red, fussy, gassy breaks my heart 😭😞 Trying everything to help him.

@Gurj using the Dr. browns bottle here as well.🙏🏼

@Chris Monteiro Lis definitely speak to his paed. i had Lyra at the GPs and they diagnosed with reflux and gave me infant gaviscon but also mentioned thickening her milk so i changed her to the Anti-Reflux formula and shes nowhere near as pukey and screamy. Also if you move him to a thicker milk ypu may need to change the size of ypur teats. we had to ger variable flow teats as she struggled to get the milk out of the normal ones

@Kat he is taking some simethicone and it has been pretty helpful. We can hear his farts lol. I’m sorry for you little one with reflux 😞🌷

ah cool! were using the formula instead of her gaviscon cause you can't use both together

@Chris Monteiro Lis try a bit of gripe water in the bottle, all natural and does help!! I did this for the first couple of months as I had a refluxy gassy baby!

@Stacey thanks for the tip🌷 I do have gripe water I’ll use it

My baby uses this for formula and he has been thriving on jt. No problems at all. If you are noticed increased gas, put Infacol in the bottle works a treat. My baby is 10 months and still needs burping🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

@Phoebe thank you!!!!
