Is it safe to use a jacuzzi or heated lounger whilst pregnant?

I keep seeing mixed advice online now I feel bad that I’ve done something wrong 😩😩 The jacuzzi’s temp was 37 degrees & the heated lounger was set at 35 I believe. I wasn’t on both for long ( probs less than 10 minutes)

I believe the advice is that no you shouldn't as it can increase your core temp too much which isn't good for baby but I'm sure once won't have done any harm x

https://www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/pregnancy/is-it-safe-to-use-a-sauna-or-jacuzzi-if-i-am-pregnant/ I’d go by the NHS guidance. To be honest there isn’t research on this, so they say there are ‘possibilities’ of this and that happening. I wouldn’t worry that you’ve used them but in general if you’re concerned try to avoid over 35 degrees in the future x

Thank you for asking this! I’m 7 weeks and I have a log cabin type weekend coming up for my friends 40th. It’s going to be a weekend of drinking in and around the hot tub. 2 things I now know I can’t do! It’s making me not want to go. Pregnancy really sucks sometimes especially this early when you have to make excuses as no one knows

@Em I’d take some packs of Cranberry Juice with you and say you have a UTI. No booze cos of antibiotics and no jacuzzi cos of UTI :)
