hRA cash assistance rejected I don’t know what to do
I owe 4 months of rent, I’m unemployed and about to get evicted. What can I do? It says it was rejected because failure to provide verification information. I don’t know what to do. I’m falling apart.

You can also go to DHS and and possibly get rent assistance before it gets to the point of you being evicted.

@Hummu I didn’t know about dhs. Do you know where is the agency in Manhattan. Do I have to make an appointment?
I think it took 3-4 weeks. It could have possibly been faster if I had went in person

Reapply for hra in person. Make sure you bring every possible document they could need. Call or go online and check on your case so you don’t miss any appointments. I know someone who did it and got it in just a few days because she had an eviction notice.

You can apply again. You can go to your local HRA office and ask them what information you need to provide. My application was rejected first time. I applied again and got approved.
