Kendamil Pre-Made Bottles

My baby is 12 days old and is losing weight with my breast milk alone. My health visitor and a paediatrician have told me to feed her breast milk, but then to top up with an ounce of breast milk from a bottle or formula. I’m using the kendamil pre-made bottles, but as she only needs an ounce a time I’m having to keep it in the fridge. How do I go about feeding with it once it’s been in the fridge? Is it safe to warm up?

Kendamil can be warmed up or given at room temp

@Ellie thank you, even once it’s been stored in the fridge? x

Take what you need onto a smaller bottle warm it and then store the rest in the fridge. To be honest you're better off buying a tub or powder as premades last 1 day in the fridge once opened and produce a lot of waste. With the powder you can make up exactly what you need and store in the fridge for 24 hours and take a bottle out and heat as needed

I second YazmynJade as you can measure how many ounces you wish to make for your babe and still not have a some go to waste or have the hassle of warming up milk etc as you can make the bottle fresh with hot/cold water.

If you use the small RTF with the little teats you have to use within 1 hour once they’ve drank from it. If you decant it elsewhere and store it in fridge it’s 24 hours once opened. I’d take the big RTF and store in the fridge, and then pour amount needed into bottles. Or just take the powder x

Second the little RTF bottles. I had these when my LO was in the early weeks and they could be stored at room temperature (they’re only 70ml) so less to waste if you don’t use it all.
