Our room is currently 23.7 and LO is wearing a nappy and the love to sleep swaddle because he felt really warm earlier
My Gro Egg says my room is 23.8, he had a short sleeve vest, long thin sleep suit and a thing cellular blanket. He doesn't feel hot at all and the temperature will also drop to 15 over night. I'd say go by touching yoir babies bacn/chest to see if they're too hot or cold
I used to have a GroEgg but I stopped using it as I realised it was inaccurate, it always showed that the room is warmer than it actually is! Many other parents also complained of the same issue.
@Incognito I have wondered this - it says it’s warm but I’ve felt cold! Do you use a different room thermometer?
We use a groegg but also confirmed it was accurate with 2 other thermometers. We’ve had temps up to 27.4 in our bedroom. Currently 24.6 and LO is in a short sleeve vest and 0.5 tog sleep suit. He hasn’t woken up from being cold at all. Anything below 24 I’ll use a 1 tog and when he was brand new I swaddled him in a Muslin blanket. I always think it’s safer to have baby slightly too cold then too hot!
Our bedroom is usually around 21/22 and he sleeps in a sleepsuit and a 1.5tog sleeping bag
Bedroom is between 20 and 23 on the gro egg but temp drops overnight so baby is in 1 tog love to dream swaddle and a long sleeve thin sleepsuit
We use an actual thermometer as heard the same issues about the egg. Our sons room is normally around 23-25 and he's been in short sleeved vest and 0.5 tog bag and been fine. I do think it depends on the baby and how old they are (mine is almost always warm and 9 months).
My GroEgg says it’s 25.1 degrees. LO is wearing a short sleeved vest and a 1.0 tog sleeping bag. I know the guidelines say 1.0 should only be used below 24 degrees, but I’ll be covered with a blanket so I’m putting her in the sleeping bag 🤷♀️
