Baby will come when ready. Start walking more. Keep eating dates and drinking raspberry leaf tea to prep. Clean the house. Stay active!!If you’re running over 41 weeks then yes, schedule induction. Otherwise try to enjoy the final few weeks 🙏
@🅚🅐🅣🅗🅘🅔 𓆉 I know but with my major anxiety she was willing to attempt induction. Baby is very healthy but just won’t budge!
@Whitney yes easier said than done for sure! I can’t wait to be on my anxiety medicine again. I’m really struggling
They “try” to schedule inductions that can be pushed back or rescheduled if not an emergency. This is because the L&D at your hospital may be too close to capacity. Women in Active Labor need those rooms and they will not hold a room for someone who’s not ready yet over someone who’s Laboring. So try some natural inducers. As @Whitney said try Raspberry Tea, Dates, walking lots. I also applied diluted Clary Sage Essential Oil to my lower back and inside ankles, did figure 8s on birthing ball, and walked along uneven surfaces “such as curb”. Some women also swear by the “Miles Circut” pregnancy workout.
Also, I didn’t do it, but my Midwife offered to do a membrane sweep. She said if successful mama can go into labor within 24hours. But, some women on here have said that was really painful… That is performed in the office by your Dr/Midwife.
@Jenna I get it. I'm scheduled for a repeat cesarean and I'm not on my zoloft for 3 months now. 🫣 I'm having a breakdown lol
I'm in the exact same boat and wondering when I'll be induced, wishing I didn't have to. My first baby as well and all my visits have been positive with baby. Good luck to you 🩷
@Rushelle I know active labor mamas need it more but I just think my doctor could’ve communicated better to me. Like don’t tell me one then one week then tell me another thing the next week. I’m 0cm so they can’t do a membrane sweep.
@🅚🅐🅣🅗🅘🅔 𓆉 at what point is my mental health a priority too? Clearly my doctor hasn’t cared about my well-being like she has my baby. If I ever get pregnant again I’m not using this doctor
@Jenna they take depression questionnaires after birth for postpartum depression, but not during pregnancy… Your mental health should be just as important during pregnancy as after. So if this Dr isn’t working with you definitely find a different one next time.
@Rushelle I know I’m not depressed. I’m just extremely anxious all the time. I’m just hoping I can get back on my Prozac right away. My friend is pregnant and her doctor is letting her stay on it!
Do you have any medical reasons for an induction ? Not sure if this will help but first time moms can go up to 42 weeks.
