Any breastfeeding mums get like shakey, feeling faint?

If I haven’t eaten anything or a snack for 3 hours I start feeling like dizzy, weak, shakey and sometimes faint. I got this when I was pregnant and still been getting it. I’m wondering if it is the breastfeeding, so curious if any other ebf mums are experiencing this?

Im the same. I read somewhere (not sure how accurate it is) that for your body to produce milk, it needs as much energy as doing 3 hours of intensive yoga. So that’s my excuse to constantly stuff my face!

Yes I have to snack allll day long as well as my meals 😂

Yes I get this, but I’m also worried it might be caused by low iron levels as I sometimes get dots in my vision which can be a symptom and I also had low iron in pregnancy, I never felt like this while BF my first born

Oh right I’m glad it’s not just me, as I can’t remember with my first!! I’ve noticed if I skip meals and just snack the symptoms are a lot worse! Crazy how much energy it takes out of us!

It's about 500cal a day burnt by BF! Make sure you're in top of your vitamins and minerals, as baby will take what they need, leaving you deficient. Magnesium is huge, iron can make you constipated, so be aware. Potassium is also important as well as lots of protein and good fats

Yep this is low blood sugar, make sire you're eating and drinking enough 😊 could also potentially be low iron

Yes I’m exactly the same. I also stuggle when I haven’t drunk much water. Feel like I have a bottle of water attached to me these days. Drives me mad
