Hi @Helen thanks for responding. Which monitor do you use? No will contact them but I was just looking for instant feedback from other vtech uses I guess. I've googled it and seen a lot of people complaining that the temperature shown on the monitor is ridiculously high compared to the reality xxx
Ours is the same but I think it’s quite common with a lot of monitors not just the vtech one apparently! 🤦🏼‍♀️
I'm using VM819. I'm in contact with vtech at the moment cos the sound sensitivity isn't good enough, but similar to Charlotte I think a lot of temp things are inaccurate, we have a dream egg for that which seems to be better
Thank you guys. LO has seemed OK through the night working from the room thermometer we have. Won't rely on the monitor for that xx
Ours tends to be out by a degree or so, not alot so I never take it as gospel
Yep :) I think it's because the camera unit is left on and gets slightly warm. I've noticed if I turn it off for a while the temperate goes down. I've never payed much attention to it though, I just go by how warm I think the room feels 🤷‍♀️
It seems to be a issue with them, I saw sooo many people saying the same thing, including me, in my case I had an egg light/thermometer already when I bought the monitor so I don’t care that much, but I agree that it shouldn’t be…..
Yeah ours said my boys room was 26 degrees all night which seemed really high given the window was open to let cool air in and the door was open to circulate throughout the day. He didn’t wake up sweating or anything either
Yehh ours shows around 3 degrees higher than it actually is We bought a cheap little room thermometer as it was so inaccurate xx
Same here, ours is definitely wrong - compared to another couple of thermometers. I just knock a couple of degrees off what it says xx
Thank you all 🫶
