I used St Thomas and they were amazing! I had a Caesarian under obstetrician care but I don’t have a bad thing to say about the hospital during any of my care including postnatal. Great staff, lovely facilities, added bonus having Evelina on site. Clean, happy environment. Lots of food options too downstairs. Only pain is the lifts are slow xx
Im currently 39+2 & I’ll be having my baby at St Thomas so i’ll come back with a review😂but so far the times I’ve been in for RFM and my growth scans they have lovely midwifes and doctors. Lifts are a pain though
I had my baby there last week and the facilities and midwives were amazing, I would definitely recommend ☺️ they let us have a look round the home from home birth suite when we were in for a growth scan a few weeks before I actually came in in labour. The rooms are massive with a view of the Thames and Houses of Parliament/Big Ben. The birthing pool rooms have a spa vibe
The best team I can not fault them
I had my baby there, had planned to be on home from home but ended up in the birth centre due to developing preeclampsia late in pregnancy. The care was fantastic! Understaffed in the postnatal ward but the staff and care was brilliant
I had my baby at St Thomas in July and had a great experience. The staff were excellent!
Had both my babies there. First in 2021 and second 2022. Both great experiences
I had a c-section there on Tuesday & stayed for 2 days because i had issues so needed the extra day. The team on my caesarean where amazing, it was such a positive experience. The midwife staff after was great, however they are understaffed in postnatal though but do so well given that. Every person we encountered was helpful & supportive and doing there absolute best. But definitely go ask for things if you need them versus waiting till midwife comes. The lifts are absolutely fantastic he worst part, so slow & often full, whoever programmed them was taking the piss. i did my antenatal class online & they included photos so we could see but i don’t think they do tours.
The antenatal class doesn't do tours and I couldn't even get pictures of the rooms until the class. Still pregnant but v v happy with my care so far. When we did the birth plan 95% of what I was going to ask for is standard routine anyway
I gave birth to my first at St Thomas during Covid, so they had combined the wards. Was amazing and the midwifes are so lovely (also had a nice view of London Eye from my birthing suite 😉). Would def recommend
I had my baby there in March, c section. I can’t fault them it was great in the theatre. A little understaffed once in recovery and I found a couple of the midwife’s “assistants” rude. The partners can’t use the showers and they sleep on chairs so not very comfy 🙃 overall it was a great experience and I’ll do it all over again.
Our midwife took us for a tour of the home from home birth centre yesterday. It was lovely, wooden floors and they try to make it as minimally clinical looking as possible. View of the river, parliament and Big Ben. There are single/sofa beds for partners.
@Alba 💖💖
@Nons thank you 😊 🙏🏻
I had my first baby at St Thomas’s. I had a water birth and the midwife’s were honestly so lovely. I don’t know if they offer tours but I’m sure you could ask for one!
