Cape fear. The nurses and doctors were absolutely amazing. I think I had one nurse I didn’t care for but that says a lot knowing you get 3 different ones every day. The food was decent. I only wanted the grilled cheese lol. Labor & delivery is like a completely different world than the rest of cape fear. Wouldn’t go to the ER but I would go back if I had another baby.

I would go back *to labor and delivery at cape fear*

Cape fear is a joke, Im trying to figure out how to sue them for malpractice. Im not going to write everything that happened. (if you want more details, you can pm me) Between them ignoring everything i said to the point my husband had to physically grab a nurses arm, to a student playin with my coochie and had to repeatedly tell her to get her fingers out, to them double teaming me at midnight after I just had a baby threatening to call cps on me because I told them "not right now" when it came to the hepatitis b shot. They said my child NEEDED it in 12 hours of him being born like wtf im not stupid. Unfortunately, I do have to say this, as a black women, you are treated differently in the hospital. I find it both sad and funny that any time I hear someone having a pleasant experience, its a lighter toned person. My mom, sister, midwife, doula, AND my "mentor" during my pregnancy told me this was probably going to happen to me. I planned a homebirth, but I had to go in due to unfortunate circumstances.

@Shea I’ve heard that it’s bad for women of color. I was waiting for a response like this. I’ll DM you.

I gave birth at Scotland memorial with 2 my kids and my second born was born pinehurst hospital

Yeah cape fear let a 16yo out of the hospital 24hrs put from having a c section. Never made sure she had a bowel movement or anything. She almost died 7weeks later so bad impacted her csection almost burst open. I had a homebirth because cape fear was the option and i wasnt going there

@Shea im so sorry you went thru this. This is exactly why i refused. I have hyperemesis gravidarum when pregnant very severe they left me in a room and 18hrs later after my family started callin and acting up they found me said they forgit i was there. By the time i got in to see a dr they had to get the crash cart hb was 178bpm i was about to go into cardiac arrest. Separate occasion going in for hg they threw me and my 75yo grandma out the hospital 6 security ppl and all because i told them they couldnt stick my arm they needed to use the back of my hand. These ppl at that hospital are hoodlums and are a gang

@Shea wow, I’ve declined hep b and vit k for 3 babies and not once have I been told they would call cps!!! I would definitely say they targeted you for a reason!

@Alexandria it really felt like it!

@Cheyenne oh my goodness!! I am so sorry that happened to you and your family. Good grief! It really shows that not everyone who picks a profession has the passion for it.

I went all the way to wake med cary from spring lake and it was the best decision they were so nice told what they were doing no students very transparent i went for an induction because i was past my due date and the doctors advised me to go in but gave me the choice of where to go within 5 minutes of being there (walking in and telling what happened) they had me in a room getting checked (ultrasound and cervical check) and within 20 minutes from that i was in a labor room waiting for them to start
