@Lucy not all , some babies are fed (especially the one with spoon-so not in this situation-) without them to be conscious..i saw in my family and in fact now I know one with severe and problematic obesity in childhood
@Chloe-marie I think there is no proportion in the picture ..it seemed a big plate. Obviously if is small plate could be ok, but really is not clear if you don’t put something near to compare the size. But anyway I gave you my opinion for which you asked so you need to accept our reply. Anyway even if is a small plate is a bit too much for me for a 10 m baby. Not all the people and baby eat a lot depending on body size etc..I am not big not tall and my baby neither we get full easily, even if we have big apetite and eat well
I'd give this to my 1 year old and she'd devour the lot also! so perfecrly normal and amazing she eats so well i wouldn't worry, my girl is almost 13 months and is teenie and petitie and still in 9-12m clothes she just has a huge apetite🤷♀️ all babies are different x
@Rahila all children are different my niece is over a year old and would never eat as much as my baby does! Thank youu💖
My son is like that and still is! He ate more than me for dinner tonight and he’s not even 2.5 yet 🤣
I wish my toddler would eat this much, he never really has done 🥲 well done you 💕👏🏻
@Monica is that a good or bad thing😂 im glad shes a good eater
@Katia babies actually can regulate what they eat really well. When they’re full they stop eating, when they’re hungry they eat.
That's amazing that your 10 month old can eat all that 😂
@Intisar yess i knoe she isnt starving and i dont want to get her into a habit of eating for no reason bc like you say its unhealthy but if shes eaten and then i eat she will come and steal half of what im eating 😂
@Katia 1 sausage, 4 carrot batons and a bit of a mash is NOT an adult meal 😂
@Katia you would only eat 1 sausage for dinner and some mash ? Really ?
My LB would devour all of that and still want more 😂. His stomache is a black hole literally. I do try not to give him more food though. As much as I wanna give him all the food he wants until I think he is definitely done. I do want to teach him how to have a somewhat healthy relationship with food. 😅
@Olivia i feel like i am lucky with what she does it!! She has 3 decent meals a day and would eat more if i let her😂 im sure i wont always have it this easy but while i do ill appreciate it😂

@Katia if this is all you eat as an adult i think you need to go to a doctor! Obviously this is a small plate it’s nowhere near an adult sized portion thats really dramatic! If shes full she stops eating! Shes not constantly crying for food either!
My son would have eaten that easily at that age plus pudding and still wanted more 🤣 he’s a healthy little 2 year old now so did him no harm x
My son is 1 and wohld finush the whole thing or almost all of it.
Add a bit of broccoli, take away the gravy and that's a meal my 15mo would eat
it seems the plate an adult would eat, I would eat that..i think is too much for a baby stomach. They don’t yet understand or have a feel of being full I think..but well if she wants all and maybe cry if not having not sure..maybe speak with the pediatrician
If she’s eating all of this that’s fab!!! I don’t do as big of portions for my daughter mind. Maybe it’s because I know she wouldn’t finish it all anyway. She eats snacks throughout the day! I wish my daughter would eat this much! She’s 22 months and rarely finishes a plate unless it’s something she absolutely loves
@Elsa i mean if they didnt want it they wouldnt eat it right? Some adults eat more than others its the same concept!
My boy eats similarly and everyone agrees it seems like a lot but he has a healthy weight so 🤷🏻♀️
@Chloe-marie yeah she will honestly at 10 months old I wouldn't worry about obsessing over her weight when she's walking she will drop it. Some babies are extra chubby some aren't at all and neither is a bad thing or cause for worry unless the Dr is worried
@YazmynJade thank you! Yess shes meeting milestone quickly tbh shes crawls around like a lunatic so i guess she will start loosing weight from that wont she?
@Chloe-marie if you're health visitor is happy then keep doing what you're doing ideally she would be having more milk but if she's meeting milestones and not loosing weight she will be fine. Don't forget when she gets up and moving any weight that makes her "overweight" will drop off
@Sylvia yess i do try she has cows milk with her breakfast i.e wheatabix, she has fromage frais and cheese often too x
@YazmynJade she's clearly got a hearty appetite and is eating well, so if she has reduced her milk it won't do her any harm at all. @Chloe-marie what I would say is just make sure she's getting at least one other serving of dairy ie. cheese or yoghurt- just to top up calcium :)
@Andreea thank you! She also thought soo🥺
@Hannah yesss I suppose every baby is different if she didnt want it she wouldnt eat it! Thank youu Yess im glad she eats well😂x

@Fay yess if shes done she will just not eat anymore or throw her food in the floor for the dog😂 but yess i refuse to feed her an adults portion of food ahahaha
@YazmynJade her milk has dropped massively shes only having about 150mls a day but she refuses anymore than that ive tried! I did speak to a health visitor that said bc shes eating 3 solid meals a day its fine for her to not have as much milk she just needs a vitamin D supplement
My little girl is nearly 10 months and would have a good go at that plate. Nothing to worry about, it’s great she has a great relationship with food at this stage x
@Chloe-marie exactly like mine the worst thing is I know she can say enough and shake her head no 🙄 but no way am I feeding her a bag of veg, pan of mash and 12 sausages 😅😅
@Sylvia yeah she’s naturally dropped the milk herself she has about 150mls a day i try more but shes not interested in drinking it
@Danielle shes only 10 months and she ate all of this and pudding im scared at her next check shes gunna be overweight😂
@Emma thank youu! Yes this was gone in one sitting shes a hungry gal ahaha xx
Just don't let her eat so much she reduces her milk intake at all she needs the recommend amount until 12 months
@Fay yess after this shes had pudding too i feel like she just would never stop eating if i let her😂x
As long as she's not dropping milk down in the day feed what you want
at 10 months, I'd expect a smaller portion, but if her bottles (or breast feeding) have naturally reduced, then she just fully transitioning to solids earlier.
I have just done a similar post for my 15 month old. She ate similar portions at that age and then would have fruit after and a yoghurt. Felt like she could never be filled. Trust your mum gut xx
I think it's fine. My pediatrician told me to feed as long as they are hungry they'll eat once they get full they'll stop.
she’s got a good appetite! if she’s eating it all in one sitting then you’re definitely not over feeding her xx
Feed your baby how ever much you want 👏🏾

That’s roughly what I’d give mine at nearly 2 and he’d eat it all (most of the time)
Mine eats more he’s a year though and big for his age
@Katia ok, do your research. I haven’t just plucked that information out of the air based on one example.
