I’m due 11th November and having a c-section due to medical reasons. I have been told 39 weeks but i don’t have a official date yet. I’m seeing a consultant on the 16th October so i will be given my date🙏
Generally 39+ ive been told, unless any medical reasons.
@ellie absolutely, the last 5 births around me have ended in emergency c sections and the mothers being shattered because they have been induced days before…. Fingers crossed. Good luck with your birth xx
@Nicola ahh exciting 😍😍i’m hoping it’s not a weekend so i don’t get stuck in there for like 3 days cos everyone’s gone home 😂
@emma Kimpton i was so stressed bc i thought they would deny me. i just said it’s less stressful and i feel more in control of the situation, not keen on hospital settings and waiting around, i’d be worrying baby wasn’t ok! end of the day if something goes wrong they rush you for one anyway! i’m sure you’re be fine 🥰xx
@Daniella i"m the 26th!
@emma Kimpton in the end as my midwife wasn’t supportive or pro active I called the hospital, explained I wanted a c section and they made me an appt with a consultant, that’s next week and I’ll be 34 weeks. Hopefully that gets signed off (apparently just a process) and then I will receive a letter / call 7-10 days before c-section.
I’m due on 17th November and will be having an elective c-section on 3rd November (the day I turn 38 weeks) due to medical reasons. This was booked on Monday by my Obstetrician X
I got booked in for one yesterday - Again, by choice and no medical reason - We are booked for 5 days before the due date. I think they try and do it at around 39 weeks ideally but if it falls on a weekend etc then could be sooner etc - I'm due the 3rd Nov, so technically, this baby will become an October baby 🙈🙈
@ellie wow that is crazy!!!! So rude! I saw on the honest midwife that even if one consultant denies you, they have to find someone that will. I hope I have an understanding consultant like you! Xx
@emma Kimpton omg mine was so rude! she was like they won’t just get given one, i would say no.. saw the consultant and she was like yeah ofc you can it’s your choice 😌 i was like no way xx
39 weeks
I'm due on the 27th November and have my c-section booked for 24th 💛 xx
@Hayley yeah i thought they may not. At what stage does a consultant get involved? I’ll be 34weeks next week x

Usually it's 39 weeks but my hospitals availability has meant its booked for 39+4 x
@emma Kimpton my midwife wasn’t very supportive but it’s the consultant that signs off you having a c-section
I’m also having an elective, it’s been booked for week 39. Booked it at the 20 week scan x
Ahh I’m due 10th and having an elective section too!! I don’t have my official date yet but have been told it will either be Fri 3rd or Mon 6th-Fri 10th 🩵🩵 Good luck with everything xx
I want an elective C section, and I’ve read I’m well within my right. My birth plan appointment is next week. How did your midwife’s take it?x
@Natalie vaguely remember her saying like 40 weeks but couldn’t remember😂 had a mild panic at anything sooner x
I'll be having an elective since baby is breech and was told it will be in week 39 or 40. Think it varies depending on your area x
@ellie it does 🥰 and these last weeks are just flying by 🙈 I’ve got 7 weeks left, nervously excited now 🥰
@Laura omg makes it seem even sooner 😬🥰
I’ll be having an elective c-section too and I’ll be booked in for when I’m 38 weeks 😊
I plan to ask to get a c section too, my appointment is on Monday I hope they listen to my needs and wants. I genuinely don’t feel comfortable pushing I know my muscles aren’t strong enough
