@Minerva me I am a SEN TA in a Secondary school so I am moving from class to class a lot
I’m a teaching assistant ~ in a SEN school it’s also a little hard coz from time to time when the kid could run I run or walk after them and they walk so fast. At times we also go to parks ,a good exercise as well but when it gets distance ,I get also exhausted.
I'm also finding work hard . Having on and off headache, got pelvis pain 😫. I'm always tired and now forgetful. I'm always on my feet . My work involves heavy lifting , huge deliveries, and going up and down metal stairs. I'm not doing any heavy lifting, but I still do deliveries, service customers, and get their orders. I have no patience anymore. I hate people right now . I'm pregnant with twins and at 17 weeks +4 . I'm already huge , and some people just don't get what pregnancy does to your body . 😒 like yes, I have to sit down a lot cause my feet , back, or pelvis hurts . Kmt.
I feel the same too, I'm a nurse so on my feet all day, it's hard! I'm considering doing shorter shifts rather than long days but I guess that isn't an option in teaching xx
I’m a primary teacher and I feel exactly the same. I feel like I can’t escape my classroom for toilet breaks or sickness because I don’t have a ta. I feel like I’m struggling even picking up the books to do my marking and lugging around classroom toy/ tough spots ect (in year 1). My tummy muscles feel so sore every day for using my teacher voice and it’s just so shit. I cannot wait to leave in February just to escape the profession for a year. 🩷
I’m struggling and I have an office job, I don’t know how you’re doing it, hats off to you, don’t suffer in silence though please speak up again to them if you need to. Yes it does get more tiring as you get bigger xx
You aren’t the only teacher out there suffering!! Don’t worry. I think you need to talk to HR and let them know you are struggling. Can they give you more support elsewhere? They are silly because you’ll burn out so quickly and you’ll be off due to stress before you know it. Don’t keep quiet and suffer in silence, tell them!! Xx
@Amy me too 17+4
I’m the same and I’m still only 17+5. I’m noticing work is becoming more and more of a struggle the past few days, the commute itself tires me before I’ve even got there! Dreading how much worse it’s going to get ☹️ Exhausted all the time!
Oh I feel for you, I’ve also saw that some people breeze through with work and I’m so jealous! I’m a kitchen manager my typical shifts are usually 10 hours 5-6 days a week sometimes a little more depending on what’s needed done. No sitting (unless I’m on the toilet) I was really ill at that start and was off sick for 2 weeks I was made redundant from that job. (I suspect heavily it was because I’m pregnant, I’m dealing with it though) I’m just glad to be working again but it’s not easy and like a lot of people who aren’t breezing through it I’m dreading the next 20 weeks. So my thoughts are with you!
@Chloe I truly don’t envy you. I’ve found my heart rate has been elevated since starting back in September. It does feel like a massive mountain to climb. Fingers crossed it all goes well and people are supporting you!
It’s a killer, I’m a performing arts teacher as well as being a head of faculty and by the end of the day my backs in bits. I had a funny turn today with heart palpitations and had to go to a&e before I even got started on first lesson today and I’m 19+4. Feel like the next 20 weeks are going to be a huge struggle… plus I have a whole school production!
Me too moving around the school takes me awhile to Achieve and by the time I get to my destination I am tired
I left teaching last year and have said so many times I'm glad I'm not teaching while pregnant, it was hard enough! You're super woman!

@Scarlett-rose I’m hoping it gets better at some point! But all I can think of is that we’ll get more tired as we get larger 🙈
i litterally work four 6 hours shifts a week, but its a physical job. as soon as i get home from work i struggle to do anything but lie in bed😭 this exhaustion is not a jokeee
One of my friends is a science/pe teacher but I haven't checked in to see how work is for her. I do an office job remotely from home, but the mental load of it is a lot and I've found myself actively avoiding responsibility to have a nap somewhere in the day. Don't feel guilty or bad about it, growing a human takes a lot out of you
