Keeping warm in a cot

I'm trying to think of options for the winter for my son in his cot. He currently has a muslin on warmer evenings and a light fleece blanket when colder. Not sure that will be enough though mid winter. Our house rarely drops below 16/17 even on the coldest nights. I'm not sure what else is safe to try. He doesn't like sleeping bags anymore. Just wondered what others do

Have you tried those sleeping bags that are like a sleep suit..they are good x

@Stephanie ooh no good idea thank you. Its the lack of freedom as he's a fidget so that could work, thank you x

@Lorna I know they sell them in Sainsbury's and next x

Yeah I was going to say the same as @Lorna. You can get some great togged sleepsuits. They have legs and zip up the front. Some of them also have fold over feet in case it gets really cold xx

We always use a sleeping bag 🥰 you can get a variety of Tog ratings. Our LG is obsessed with hugging as many blankets as she can too 😄

@Eloise my son used to love them but as he's gotten more mobile he seems to dislike how constricting they are which is a shame as he had plenty of room to move his legs. I'd be tempted to try one again incase but every time we have before the evenings got warmer he would wake up 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Lorna try the sleeping bag with legs he won't feel as restricted

My son has a duvet. Last winter we was co sleeping so I wasn’t worried about him getting cold next to me. But he refuses to co sleep now, he wants to be in his cot. He throws the duvet out the cot too so I’m worried about this year too
