All formulas are about the same! Give it a go if you like. You’re probably feeding him plenty though, they do tiny feeds those first weeks
i combo feed! and i use this formula! i let him latch first & then i’ll give 2oz to settle if he’s still fussy!

Also just wanna say that a fed baby is a happy baby, no matter whether it’s breast, combi or formula. Never feel like a failure no matter how you feed your baby, you’re doing a great job and you need to believe that 🩷
@Tyraa I promise you he won’t starve himself. If he’s settled then you’re feeding him plenty! Normally they do suck suck swallow and you should be able to see it when you look at his neck but like my first sentence, I promise he will not starve himself, he’d soon be kicking off if he was hungry! My LG still only does short feeds most of the time and she’s 4 months and growing perfectly. I was exactly the same as you and still have moments now where I get worried but as my LG is growing as she should, I’m not as worried as I was! If you’re concerned, go for a weigh-in and see if he’s putting on ☺️ you may also have a fast let down so he may be getting absolutely plenty quickly. Honestly, mumma, I promise you’re doing an amazing job and your baby will thrive no matter what you choose.

@Hayleigh he is a heavy sleeper ,he doesn’t wake to feed unless I change him and once he is On a nipple he sucks then goes back to sleep super quick,he imitates a few sucks but i feel he is just soothing himself like a pacifier would ,I don’t know if he is feeding
Don’t feel like a failure! Sometimes you need that small break. Breastfeeding is extremely demanding and exhausting. I combo fed my first baby and this was our choice of milk. It kept him full, specially at night and I was able to get a bit more rest and sleep. Keep in mind that besides the baby, YOU & your mental health matter!
Do not feel like a failure at all!! A happy mum is a happy baby. Fed is best remember that you are doing amazing!! ❤️❤️
Is your baby sleeping and settled after a feed?
Don’t use the formula it will make your supply go down! Some women just don’t get a lot when they pump, me included. If baby is sleeping fine and not fussy after a feed then you are OK. Trust your body mama.
