Thank you so much for your reply and sharing you experience. I’m sorry you had to go through that, but I’m glad it went so well, as best as it could, anyway. I’m really hoping to start trying again asap, too. Thanks again, and all the best for your journey ahead! :)
@Sarah Thank you! Wishing you all the best as well. I hope your experience goes just as smoothly as mine did. Here’s hoping we’ll be announcing our rainbow babies soon.
@Sarah It really depends on the medication they gave you initially to have your body pass the miscarriage. Sometimes they give a chemo drug in which case you would have to wait to prevent any harm to your future baby. Ask your doctor the reason for the wait. It’s okay to ask questions and I’m sure they’d be happy to answer. Best of luck in the future.
Hi there - I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I had a D&C yesterday and today I’m feeling very positive. No bleeding today but bled yesterday. No pain today either - all in all not too terrible. My doctor said we can go back in for IUI (got pregnant on our second round of IUI) after my next period.
@Margot I haven’t had any medication. I tried waiting for my body to naturally pass the miscarriage. Thank you for your advice, though.
Hi Sarah, I’m so sorry you are going through this. I had a d+c 4 weeks ago, and was advised for one cycle before trying again, so hopefully you won’t have to wait 2 cycles. Good luck for tomorrow.
Thank you @Amanpreet. I’ve actually just had the surgery and am on my way home. It went really well, they got everything and I have minimal bleeding and pain. My partner and I are discussing waiting one cycle, which will be our 3 years together :)
Glad surgery went well! Wishing you a speedy recovery, it took me 4 weeks to test negative, but waiting for my first cycle now! So just be kind to yourself and patient. Rest up for a few days post d+c too!
I’m sorry you’re going through this. I had a D&C yesterday due to my miscarriage in July. The procedure went better than I expected. I was under anesthesia of course. I was back in my room and waking up an hour later. I didn’t have any pain or much bleeding. I took pain meds at midnight this morning and then again at noon and have felt fine ever since. Haven’t bled at all today. My doctor explained how she was going to do the procedure so I’m guessing that’s why I’m feeling better than I thought I would since she didn’t do any unnecessary searching if you will. She gave us the go ahead to start trying in a week!
