Stopped rolling?

My LO is the same she was attempting to roll (getting half way over) and the last couple of weeks she’s stopped completely and totally lost interest in it now. She will be 5 months next week. x

This happened with my LG. She was rolling over constantly for a good couple of weeks and then all of a sudden just stopped and would just lay there on her back. This only lasted 3 days though until she started again but I thought she was broken 😂😂 they just go through so many different phases and she prob just thinks I can do that now, what else can I learn. I wouldn’t worry 🥰 xxx

My little girl is 4 and a half months, she’s rolled a handful of times and was quite consistently at least going on her side trying to get over, but same as what you’ve said she’s just completely stopped and lost interest, but she does seem to tolerate being on her tummy for longer so wether or not she’s just more interested in that for some reason

My baby never actually rolled properly, just got there by accident a couple of times and then stopped being interested in it. She is more interested in sitting and trying to stand? Has your LO found more interest in other movement activities? If she mastered it maybe she has just lost interest?

@Rebecca she enjoys sitting supported by cushions & on the sofa & also on my lap. So maybe that’s her next interest? X

Babies loose interest and move onto something else once they have mastered something. I wouldn’t be concerned.

I attend a playgroup every week and the people who run it have said it's normal for babies to stop doing one thing whilst their focusing on learning something else 😊 x

My LO is 5 months and has never rolled, we have tried to help him and do plenty of tummy time but he just doesn’t seem bothered by it xx

So they say babies learn a new skill and then might stop if they're trying to master something else (multitasking is hard 🙃) mine did the same, kept rolling then pretty much lost interest, now rolls very occasionally

My LB hasn't even rolled once yet and he's 5 months old

My little boy rolled over 3 times and then hasn't done it since (belly to back). I think he's just comfortable on his tummy now and then by the time he's ready to roll over he's tired himself out lol he's just over 4 months x
