2nd baby?

I see a lot of these posts on here but wanted fresh opinions. I have an 18 month old and could only get through pregnancy with steroids which helped me not be sick from 7 weeks till 32 weeks. What’s it been like for other that have had a second with a toddler? How did you cope? Is it worse? What was your doctors like when you needed medication straight away? I am speaking to my doctors tomorrow to plan the second pregnancy I’m hoping when I fall pregnancy if I get sick I get seen straight away but who knows

Hi Bridie 👋 I’m in the same boat. 2nd pregnancy, & 21 month old. Already have a prescription ready if the sickness does kick in. Low key dreading it but hoping for the best. Never knew steroids could help ? - I’ll be making a note of that 😅

@Rachel I’ve got an appointment next week for them to check my blood pressure and sort out a medication list/routine and then I’ll have to have tests when I’m pregnant. Yh I got hospitalised and it was the last option it worked an absolute treat I felt great the whole time until 32 weeks when I had to try and be weaned off them and that’s when I started to be sick again xxx

I had to have my mother in law watch my other while my husband was at work. I wasn’t able to get out of bed I was so sick. My doctor wouldn’t do anything different for my next pregnancy even though I tried to plan ahead of time because getting on medication early can help. I changed doctors. WORLD of difference. They helped immediately. I didn’t know how awful my first doctor was til i found my new one. So if ANYTHING is being done that you don’t like or isn’t helping you….i strongly encourage you to find a new doctor! There are doctors who COMPLETELY understand HG and should be continuing to help if something doesn’t work and you’re still sick. None of us should be left to suffer ❤️🙏🏻
