Sleep-soother,glycerin & aniseed syrup

Hi.I have a 6 month old little girl. The last 6 weeks her night sleep is all over the place. She sleeps 1 hour exactly wakes, we put her soother back in & she falls asleep. She will then sleep for 2-3 hours then after this the constant waking starts.Up to 4 months she had 2 middle of the night bottles, then 1.Now I give her a bottle only if the soother doesn't work.I read everywhere that at 6 months babies don't need a bottle in the middle if the night. At this stage i dont know if its hunger or she us waking because of the soother falling out.She repeatedly wakes when the soother falls out.Between 1am and 4am I can put it back into her mouth 20 times!I have also started dipping it in glycerin & aniseed syrup.im thinking maybe I have created the problem by doing this but sometimes it's the only thing that gets her bsck to sleep.Sometimes it doesn't work & she keeps waking when the soother falls out.I don't know what to do!Maybe start by totally weaning off the middle of the night bottle? The soother & the syrup I know would be more difficult to get rid of for her and for my sanity🙈Has anyone used this syrup?any tips for getting rid of soother?cold turkey?a few nights to get used to it?thanks from a tired mama

Perfectly normal for your baby to be needing milk in the night when under 12 months. Her sleep is very normal for an infant too, it isn’t linear. Personally I’d just drop the aniseed & glycerin.

Please don't give her the aniseed and in particular glycerine. You're giving her something she probably doesn't need and that might be affecting her sleep. There's a lot of harmful ingredients in glycerine. I would just drop it all together as you are just medicating her. She is sleeping perfectly normal for a 6 month old

Thanks ladies.your right first thing to do is to stop using the syrup!if she needs a feed or two at night at 6 months that's ok.im listening to my mother in law too much!
