Any advice? 34 weeks and being induced at 37!

Hi all! Just wanted to get your thoughts on this plan and anyone can just provide some advice. I'm 34 weeks today. My OB told me that if the babies don't come before 37 weeks, we will schedule an induction. I plan to try and have them vaginal, they are lined up well right now. Once it's time to push, they will send me to an OR to be ready for if I need emergency c section for baby B. Has this been anyone else's experience? Seems to make sense to me. Anything you all wish you had with you at the hospital but didn't? Ideas for Dad during this time? Thank you! Pic of baby B from ultrasound today 🥰

I had both mine via C-section. I didn't want to push one and then have an emergency C-section with the other. In some ways it turned out to be a good decision for me because both ended up coming out breech.

Very nice photo of your baby. Congratulations, momma!

Hey I'm in the same boat.. im 36 and 6 today, heading to hospital tomorrow to start induction right on 37 weeks. Same as Karen, I do not want to deliver one baby each way but both are head down and ready to go so keep your fingers crossed for me that we get this done vaginally, quickly and safely! ✨️

@Courtney I hope it went well Courtney!! Sorry I'm just seeing this now but hope to hear once things settle down how it went and how your little ones are 💕💕

I had my twin girls vaginally at 37+2 and had to be induced. I’m in the uk so might be different but I wasn’t allowed to eat anything once my contractions were coming regularly because of the potential of needing a c section, so I totally recommend getting some food in you beforehand that will give you plenty of energy to push! I had isotonic drinks to help with energy levels and keep me hydrated as well. Have snacks and drinks for dad as well so he doesn’t need to leave your side when you need him most. If you need a epidural, ask for it, don’t put it off for too long if you’re really struggling because it’s not just one baby you have to get out! Mine came via forceps and suction cup in the end but so glad I was able to have them the way I did. I had a C-section with my son (he was breach) so I really wanted to try having a natural birth. I found recovery easier but I also have a good tolerance for pain. Good luck xx
