Fundraising and Charitable Causes ❤️💰

Do any of you mamas support specific charities, and if so, how do you go about fundraising? I’m looking for ideas on how to get started on projects I’m passionate about. Thank you! 😘

I have 2 charities I raise money for yearly. I ask local businesses to help out. Usually restaurants will let you pick a night to fundraise and for that evening your charity would get 10-20% of the proceeds. I also post on social media to get my friends and family involved. Good luck!!

Hey mama! Here in Dallas, I have 2 organizations that I LOVE to fundraise money for and donate goods to. They are called 'Attitudes & Attire' and also 'Dress 4 Success'. They both revolve around women who have overcome domestic abuse, imprisonment, drug addiction etc. and they educate the women on how to apply for jobs, write a resume and learn proper social etiquette. All of which I am a huge advocate for. Some women have never had a credit card, been to the dentist or lived in their own home. Both organizations focus on getting those women back on their feet and providing them with the correct business attire to go out and feel confident when pursuing a career. I try to donate my business attire to them a couple times every year! The women are usually SO grateful and LOVE being styled by the local volunteers that work for the organizations!

Do You Have A Facebook Page??? I Wanna Help Get You Some More Support!

This is incredible!!! I am moving soon to the DFW area and would like to help with my naturally-based pampering business to contribute to these women and this organization, too.

Hi! I have a non profit organization. This is such an interesting post.

I run a makeup and skincare biz that supports a foundation for survivors of childhood sexual abuse

I forgot about this one: I have a couple of acquaintances on Etsy. They were willing to sell a specific product for 3-5 days and 20% of those proceeds also went to the charity I was working with. One example were druzy earrings. It was helpful! I think it’s important to just put yourself out there and ask- if they say no, they say no! But you tried! And if you’re passionate about your charity- you will find a way to raise money! 👍🏻❤️

I used to work for a non profit that did a cook-off fund raiser. While it could potentially be a high start up cost, I think you might be able to walk away with a good profit for your charity. Say you charged $10/ ticket and sold 300, you've got $3000 to work with (we sold the tickets for more, but say $10 for the sake of easy math) we would get 12-16 local chefs from restaurants or amateurs to participate by offering free advertisement to them so your cost of food is $0, each chef brings 300- 1 oz servings of their dish. Ask local businesses and direct sales consultants to contribute a gift basket of their wares in exchange for more free advertisement. Hold a raffle/ silent action or both with all those gift baskets, make another $1000 there. Ask a local band to play and maybe get a venue donated. I'd guess you could spend only $1000 or less if you needed to rent a space, buy decorations, printing costs to advertise the event, and random expenses

I’ve been wondering his myself! Thank you for asking. I’ll be following along for ideas!

Meghan's Walk is a charity that donates money to pediatric brain tumour research. It is a charity that is very close to my heart because I lost my little cousin to a brain tumour at the age of six a couple of years ago. I will be walking in two weeks. Let me know if anyone wants to donate to the cause. The walk is in toronto on May 12th.

Hi! In Buffalo NY, I co-run an organization that feeds the homeless every Sunday. We provide a hot meal, sandwiches, hygiene products, drinks, and winter weather gear. In the summer we see 150 people a week so as you can imagine it gets busy. Social media is my best outlet for raising money. I also do events like a thanksgiving lunch with my mom friends, and we call it mom's giving. I make the main meal, everyone brings sides or desserts and something to donate to the organization. We've also sold t shirts. When I was in a sorority we used to donate to a lot of charities. We would organize 3 on 3 basketball tournaments, do canning at street lights, car washes, Lincoln for a Lincoln (send a penny and ask for a $5 back).

I would like to collaborate with you to support your movement and would love to learn more about how you ran your Lincoln for a Lincoln fundraiser please.

I have started raising money for our local childrens hospitals and have thought about doing something on my own as well. We have so much love for them as they saved our daughter.

Since my son was diagnosed with epilepsy at the end of 2017 locally there is a convenient store that does a lemonade cell and all the proceeds from that goes to the epilepsy foundation. And where I live they don’t do a 5K or anything and I’m trying to get that started. And a lot of the reason is with out my insuranceAnd before we meet our deductible one of his medications is over $600 and this is medication that he needs to help prevent the seizures his other medication that he has to take us about $200 and then I have another child that has ADHD And his medication is about 100 to 150 every month before insurance and before we meet Our deductible.
