No offence to the other ladies but I don't feel comfortable showering in the hospital. So I've not packed one, I have packed a flannel and some wipes tho xx
@Jenny I’m sure each room has its own bathroom with a shower at my hospital. Maybe check as you may not need to shower in front of anyone.
Yes x
My friend recommended I do because she didn't and the NHS ones are apparently absolutely tiny! X
@Charlotte it's the sharing part I am abit funny with not the showering in front of anyone. The hospital I was in last week still had blood on the walls and I was only there for a number 1 x
I have packed a dark towel and flip flops just in case. When I was last in hospital I was offered a shower and the towel was tiny (and I also didn’t like the thought of how many people could’ve used it - strange I know😂). Luckily I was discharged later that day and had a wash at home. Hoping to have my first wash at home after birth but I want to have a towel just in case I change my mind when I’m there. The hospital I’m in is very clean xx
Pack one x
I'm on day 5 in the hospital and I can tell you I'm very thankful I have my own towels. I've showered everyday because I feel disgusting after sleeping, exams, sweating etc 😞 hospital provide towels but more comfortable with my own
I wasn’t packing one but now reading Comments about the ones provided I think I’m going to lol
I took one just in case and ended up staying for 3 nights due to an infection. The pot birth shower was well needed ☺️
The hospital will provide but they are small
I've packed a small towel but I won't be using the shower there, I feel uncomfortable last time I used it. I'll just wash myself with soap and a flannel. But the hospital will provide one for you
Yes take a dark one as you’ll be bleeding. Also if you have stitches you MUST!! keep them clean. You really really need to shower after birth
Absolutely!!! The first thing I wanted to do after settling after baby was born was have a shower because I stank!!!

I went for a c section last year and didn’t shower in the hospital. I won’t be showering this time either. If I have to stay more than 1 night I’ll get my partner to go home and get me one as well as shower gel and shampoo 😌
I took one both times and will be again. I used them . Last time I ended up being in for 5 days so had a few showers . Take it if you don’t use it no problem if you do your be glad you took it xx After my first - natural birth. I showered and they encouraged it and I was gross. After my second -section they washed me in bed , but then I stayed in so also showered This time -section -I’m hoping only in the night so won’t need one but I’m taking a one night bag. If I stay longer my partner will bring me extra stuff including a towel xx
I didn’t and the hospital did provide one but it was small and really rough. I wish we had put a towel in the bag
I took a towel and showered last time. I couldn’t wait to shower after a very long labour and emergency c-section! My NHS hospital had bathrooms which were individual rooms with a toilet and a shower in. I think all hospitals are like this.
Definitely taking own towel, after giving birth gonna want a nice shower to wash off all that comes with giving birth.
I’ve got a black towel packed in mine, saw lots of people recommend a dark towel because of bleeding after x
We've packed a large beach microfibre towel
I have packed one xx
