What hospital is best to give birth in Coventry?

Based on your experience what hospital is best to birth your child. Uhcw, George Elliot or Warwick? I am finding it hard making a choice as I am a first time mom. I would appreciate your responses

I gave birth in UHCW, and I had the best midwife who constantly came to check on me and baby throughout the few nights of me being on labour ward. Made me feel 10x safer, and genuinely made my labour and birth bearable! X

I’d try do as much research as possible tbh UHCW is where I gave birth and it was so understaffed it felt like they didn’t want you there at all. I’ve heard George Elliot is really good it’s more of a relaxed environment and more personal as it’s a smaller hospital but don’t quote me I think if you have more complications they will rush you to UHCW because they’re better equipped to deal with such things.

I gave birth in UHCW and plan on doing so again with this next baby in jan, I have friends who gave birth in George Elliot and they had so many problems, lack of care, feeling them cut her whilst having a c section etc.. horrid! Can’t fault UHCW at all x

I read reviews online and saw so many bad reviews on UHCW maternity dept , and more good reviews from George Eliot, but Uhcw is closer to me, I am just confused as I wouldn’t want a bad experience for my first child

I’m classed as high risk and the amount of appointments I have is probably over the top but does make you feel that your in good hands. And my care I had when my daughter was born was spot on x

I honestly had the most amazing staff from start to finish at UHCW x

Thank you all for your responses ❤️

I would also like to know if UHCW allows your partner to go in with you to the labour room

Alright thank you

I gave birth at UHCW 5 weeks ago, and all the staff were amazing. My husband was allowed to stay by my side from the second I was admitted until the moment we were discharged. (4 days in total) honestly can’t complain about how amazing the midwives were during my labour too. 10/10 for me. Each person has different experiences, I 100% recommend going and having a look around, ask them if you can have a visit to the ward etc. it’ll help you make your mind up for yourself x

UHCW was amazing in my experience! I honestly don’t have the words to express how brilliant the staff were, I felt soo confident and looked after and respected the whole way through, and have since found out they were very busy and understaffed on the nights I was there but I would’ve never ever thought that. I had some questionable experiences there in the lead up to my delivery but once I was in labour itself… absolutely faultless

I gave birth in April at UHCW and whole experience was really brilliant. I got induced so was there for 4 days total and can’t fault them from start to finish x

I had my LO at George Eliot and felt I had round the clock attention from midwives at all times. My birth didn’t go to plan, I was induced and then ended up needing an emergency c-section but every single staff member was amazing. My husband loved our midwives so much he brought in presents for them the day after LO had arrived!

Warwick hands down!! All the staff there were amazing couldn’t fault it at all. Smaller, quieter, easier & cheaper to park…the list of positives go on! I’ve heard nothing but bad things about cov and experienced rudeness there myself when i went for an early reassurance scan 🫤

I had my little girl at UHCW and wasn’t the best experience x
