Possible unexplained infertility

We have been trying to conceive for 14 months. It only took us two months after I had my IUD removed to get pregnant the first time but it ended in miscarriage at almost 10 weeks but since then, we have been unsuccessful. I use the Inito device to test my hormones and confirm ovulation monthly and according to that, I have been ovulating regularly. I have done blood work and an internal ultrasound and all of they blood work has came back fine including thyroid levels. The internal ultrasound found that I have one ovary that is almost double the size of the other but besides that, it’s normal. I am getting an HSG on Monday but because of my monthly ovulation and consistent cycles, they don’t think there will be an issue. My husband did a test as well and he had no problems. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if they have, did they do any additional tests? My dr said we can do genetic and chromosomal testing but not sure if that’s necessary. Just looking for guidance and suggestions. Thanks!

What kind of IUD did you have and for how long? I had the Mirena in for a bit over 6 years. I got it out maybe a month and a half to two months ago. I bled a few days after removal which I thought was my period. We tired after (I monitored my ovulation) I also did blood tests and my doctor said he doesn’t think I ovulated based on my numbers. I’m not sure how long my body will take to bounce back. I’ll check my levels again this month.

I had the Mirena for 5 years and I too bled for a few days after that lasted about 3 days but about two weeks after that I had one of the heaviest, most painful periods I’ve ever had so I think that’s when my body started to level out. It took my sister didn’t start “trying” right away but tracked her ovulation as well and it took her about 4 cycles before she began to have more regular periods. I think it’s different for everyone but checking my levels monthly definitely helped and has continued to help for this past year so I would highly recommend continuing to test yours if possible for you! If you’re not using it, I would recommend Inito! Having to purchase new strips monthly gets a bit pricey, especially if you have to do it monthly for a year like I have! It has helped tremendously with our journey though and has expedited the fertility process by having the precise information every month. Plus it’s nice not having to go to the doctors office as often! Wishing you the best!

I’m having similar issues. I was pregnant once but miscarried early. We’ve been trying for 5 years. All testing was normal. So frustrating

Hello!! Birth control plays a huge role in messing with your hormones. Your hormones need to be at the right levels and producing the right amounts in order to create good quality eggs, conceive, release enough progesterone to grow, and keep the baby healthy and growing throughout the pregnancy. A lot of women don't fully understand how the hormones and gut health are connected. How nutrition plays a huge role. How various supplements can assist with egg quality and balancing your hormones, etc. There are natural ways to heal your body to conceive and stay pregnant. I don't know if you are interested but I do am a certified holistic fertility and women's health coach, I offer free consultations to help women understand some of these components and make better choices as often times doctors do not fully explain what is going on
