Baby hates laying flat in next to me crib

I’m in desperate need of some help / advice as to how to get my little one to go to sleep and stay asleep in his next to me crib. He will go down in it however after 5 mins max we can almost hear his insides cuddling, he wakes up grunting and squirming and he’s always sick, it’s almost like he is regurgitating and brining back up everything in his stomach. However this only happens when he lays flat in his next to me, he can lay flat on the bed / sofa / carry cot no problem and will sleep on them for hours at a time. I’m really at my wits end as I’m not getting more than 1hour sleep on a night if that. We’ve Tried lifting it up at one end but this makes no difference what so ever. Any recommendations please?!

Lay a pillow under the mattress to prop their head up helps with mine and put something that smells like you like a t shirt under them for your scent. X

And rub down their nose and round the eyebrows x it helps soothe them also play vacuum sounds or shushing sounds x

I second pop something under the mattress at the top so it’s half up half down sensation 🩷🩷🩷 or pop it at the feet like books under the feet at the top to tilt it up slightly health visitor suggested this especially for sicky babies or reflux babies 🥰🩷🩷🩷🩷

We also used the round floor mat without the frames put cushions in to prop him up and a blanket and he slept that’s when I got like 3-4 hours sleep it was bliss! We also in the end got a nest from Amazon this helped us transition him also from that to his cot has we had it inside it and when he started laying on his tummy etc we would dismantle it bit by bit til it only left the little mattress which we then took away and there was no problem what so ever 🩷🩷🩷
