Change in the Birth Plan

Alright ladies I’m lowkey freaking out here 😬 I’m 38+2 with twins and my c section is scheduled in about 3 hours from now. Since jump it has been decided that I would have a c section and I’ve been trying to change it ever since (especially now being closer to the end of pregnancy) because my babies are healthy AND BOTH head down. I’m also healthy too so why try and “fix what’s not broken?” I feel like we deserve a chance to try naturally or at least be induced. My question is, have any of you ladies ever been scheduled for a cesarean (without any complications) and your doctor let you try naturally? P.S. I’m just not into the idea of getting cut open if the babes are head down, they are healthy and so am I!

Bravo @Kendra - fingers crossed for you mama xx

I appreciate your input ladies 💖 The doctor was very nice, very patient and very supportive with me in my choice of delivery.

In the UK you'd be offered induction between 38 and 39 weeks, never automatic section unless that's what you wanted. Twins are generally induced earlier due to the chance of placental dysfunction happening earlier. Just say no!

You can tell them you want to wait to go into labour. Unless its for medical reasons and safety of your babies theres no reason why you wouldn't be allowed.

Personally, I would trust my intuition… but I have always been a bit of a rebel and not a fan of the “medical system”. You have to make the best choice for you and your babies, mama! 🤞🩷

@Magdalena that’s technically what I thought too. Like I don’t have to go into this appointment because everything is okay

You are the one in charge of how you birth… can you simply not show up for your appointment and allow labor to take its course naturally?
