Ondansetron

Is anyone else taking this? Am currently in the second for the second time already in a week thanks to hyperemesis gravidarum. So far not found anything to take the edge off and this has been talked about as an option, I think I've had one dose already though it hard to keep up at this rate what I've had. It comes with a minimal risk of cleft palate, I've been doing some reading about it and I'm nervous, but also I just want to feel better 😭

They're going to send me home with Promethazine + Prochlorperazine with ondansetron as back up. Don't know if that means giving it or on a prescription if and when needed. This is exhausting stuff 😴 😪

I restarted cyclizine again before moving on the prochlorperazine and I think it was making me throw up!! So I would ditch it if it isn't working as it might be doing more harm than good.

Nothing else has worked for me

Thanks, ladies 🥰 hoping it's my game changer as well. The nurses seem to constantly be hesitant on giving it to me even though it says I can have it. They tried to give me cyclizine again but I said that hasn't worked so far.

I’ve been taking it since I was 6 weeks and I’m 10 weeks now. It’s been a game changer for me

Yes I started taking ondansetron on Friday (along with prochlorperazine maleate) and it's been like a miracle to me. My nausea has gone wayyyyyy down and I've not thrown up at all. It's the only thing that's given me any relief in 5 weeks. Hope you find some relief too x
