We had our appointment and our pediatrician said she can have solids 3x per day if she wants and as much as she wants. Since she really likes solids she said to give her bottle first before solids so she's still getting enough formula and we puree her solids with formula so she gets more there too.

My pediatrician said to give anywhere from 4-9 tablespoons until 9 or so months. Remember, food is just for fun before one!

@Tiffany thank you

@Keisha IF I remember early enough to do so, I put the cubes in my fridge. Otherwise, I use a defrost setting on the microwave and just let it cool, if it gets too hot. I put it to my lips to check. I use a silicone ice tray, so it's easy to pop out, then put them in a labeled freezer ziploc bag. There's a BUNCH of different trays on amazon; I just checked the details before ordering to see that they were 1oz cubes.

Thanks for sharing @Ava

no more than 9 tablespoons a day, but at least 4.

I bought this ones thinking they were bigger but they do the job . I offer 2 cubes and fruit or veggies . I made little pancakes with 2 tablespoons of wheat flour , 1 medium banana and 1 egg . It made like 8-9 little ones . I cut 2-3 , she loved them . She eats maybe 1.5 the other is on clothing , floor , chair 😂😂😂 …

I feed her twice a day breakfast and lunch . I do not really measure the amount , but will have the doctor when I go back . I make the puree and freeze in silicone ice cube trays . We also offer other textures that are not purées , cut to a finger food size . I offer milk after and she stops when she is full .

@Heather I am currently doing the same. But curious how much so yes that would be great! Thank you!

And what ice tray are you using?

@Tiffany how are you thawing the cubes?

I make my own and have them in 1oz cubes. She generally has 2 oz of purees plus a "real" food now cut into spears (like last night she had 1oz pea puree, 1oz apple puree, and 4 sweet potato french fries (made in air fryer w/ a little olive oil and garlic powder)). I try to do twice per day, but admittedly, it's too often just once 🤷‍♀️

We currently do twice a day after her bottle feed (lunch and dinner). We have an appointment on Monday with our Pediatrician and I plan to ask them. I can share what she says if you'd like?
