Positive postpartum body stories

Hey, I am 5 weeks pp and this is what my body currently looks like. I’m just wondering if anyone else’s looked like this at this point and then ended up losing the overhang? I know it’s not much, but it does bother me so was hoping that people have some success stories :) pic in comments

@Charlotte(Lottie) I go to the action gym 3 times a week at 5am before my husband goes to work…. It’s hard lol but I’m used to it now . And then I do 2 home workouts at week.

@Melissa I didnt start doing this until my youngest was 2! So I can imagine it would be difficult while pumping! I was always famished when I pumped !

@Brittany fair play to you for working out x5 a week, how do you find the time or energy? no hate i’m in awe of you!

@Brittany and I never know what to eat or cook anymore

@Brittany thank you for sharing I swear I also exclusively pump and I tell you I’m always hungry smh and run to sweets all the time it’s awful I really appreciate it

@Melissa hi!! I used the above macro calculator!! Of all the diets, trends, etc, I’ve tried, counting my calories and macros have been the most effective AND sustainable. And protein protein protein! It’s so important !

@Brittany if you don’t mind me asking do you follow anything specific with your eating I work out a lot but I eat horrible and don’t know where to start or how to control sweet cravings hearing that yours went away is very inspiring because I’m Having such a hard time

Not really honestly… very minimal exercise- stationary bike, walks, yoga, and light core exercises. I had pretty bad diastasis recti so a lot of my core exercises were just “physical therapy” for improving that. I really didn’t do anything special though, it seemed like my body just kind of found its way back to its “normal” I should say I still had a bit of a tummy compared to before, but no overhang anymore for sure

I’m 10 weeks pp and look the same (but with a loooot of belly stretch marks too). My physiotherapist is currently helping me mobilize the area to try and reduce appearance of the “shelf”

@Rachel thank you, did you do anything to encourage it? X

I had a c- section and the overhang took about 6 months to really go away. You’ll get there, don’t put too much pressure on yourself

6 weeks pp and definitely have a bit of a hang and also diastases recti, thankfully not too terribly bad but it doesn’t help when you want to get into a core exercise routine! Both my mom and aunt had c sections 10+ years ago and still have a little “pouch”

I'm 4 months after and still looking like this...☹️

I'm currently 7 weeks pp and mine looks exactly the same!

Give your self a break girl! Your only 5 weeks pp! Give your self some credit you have just carried a tiny human in your body for 9 months and on top of that have given birth! ♥️

I really think I would still have mine if I didn’t make the lifestyle change I did. I eat healthy/clean about 80% of the time and workout 5 days a week. It’s hard !!! We got out damn stomach sliced open! But if you put in the work I’m sure it will go away!

I think lil bit of hang will be there in the lower belly even after years . That was the case for me . Upper belly can be reduced . But don’t think it should bother any mother . Being healthy and improving overall muscle that we lost during our pregnancy is more important. Other than that hang and stretch marks are the precious marks of baby bump memories I believe .

@Keerthana yeah x

Is it your first baby
