Has anyone else’s baby forgot how to roll front to back since learning back to belly?

He seems to of forgot he can do this and gets so frustrated at himself even though he learned it when he was way younger, he can only roll back to belly on one side aswell, not really problem until now we’ve put him on his big cot as he’d grown out of his next to me and I ended up going in every 20 minutes or so to turn him back round 😩 looks like he’s going to be a side sleeper so I think he’s rolling more forward when he goes into a deep sleep and it’s waking him up bless him I’ve tried getting him to follow toys guide him when he’s on his front to remind him but he’s just not interested 🤣

I have this with my little girl she rolled once each way then nothing for a couple of weeks now she only rolls back to belly. Luckily she only tends to roll on her front when she is waking up anyway. I just try to give her as much tummy time as I can so she can strengthen and practice

Initial front to back is lead by the weight of their head. It’s a natural part of getting bigger that they don’t tumble over. It will re-emerge intentionally. You can follow milestones.and.motherhood on instagram if you want more info

Thanks so much, luckily he loves being on his belly doing tummy time during the day so that’s good 🤣🥰

My baby has this. I think it’s because she’s more concerned with moving forward than anything else. As soon as I flip her to her back she rolls straight back over again
