Mirena coil and Noriday Tablets

I had a mirena coil fitted just over 3 months ago, and for two months i was taking norethisterone tablets 3 x 5mg a day, to stop the heavy periods, now i am on noriday (mini pill) 375mg a day, even though the bleeding is not as heavy, they are still irregular, i was hoping that my periods would of calmed down by now, not sure where to go from here, i have had enough of it, looking for advice. I had mirena coil fitted for the same reason too as I have heavy bleeding. For me, the bleeding was irregular for 4/5 months and now it's all settled with the odd spoting. Hope this helps

Hello 🙂 I'd have another chat with your GP if this persists, but your Mirena should be starting to handle things better around the six months mark if not before.

@Sophie Thankyou for your message, yes it does help, i am constantly thinking is this normal to be like this all the time, and should i be worried.

@Sharon Thankyou, i am due to a chat with the Gynaecologist in a month's time, so i shall tell her my concerns. Hopefully in a couple of months time it would of settled down.
