I’m currently 29+5 pregnant and when I started I had a bmi of 42! We tried iui once and it broke my heart! I got 2 eggs from this round of ivf and only 1 fertilised. You’re weight doesn’t have the biggest affect of the possibility of getting pregnant it’s more how your body reacts when you are pregnant. Stay positive, it will happen in time 💕 sending all the baby dust you way xx
I currently have a 4 month old from IUI treatments! We did 2 medicated cycles and then 3 IUIs! We got pregnant on the 3rd one! Clomid didn’t work for me! Letrozole worked and there’s studies that it works better for plus size women better than Clomid! You and I have very close bmis as well! Feel free to message me about any other questions you may have!! You got this!
🙋♀️ My son is almost 9 months old. I did one round of iui then Covid hit and once the clinic reopened I started IVF. I had success on my second round, it was my 3rd transfer with my 4th embryo. I have one more embryo on ice. My BMI is 40+ and I was 39 at the time of my second egg retrieval.
Hi! I had IVF and got pregnant on the first try. My BMI is 39 and I was 38 when I got pregnant. I did have to prime with Orlissa for a few months due to endo they found during the retrieval but besides that, it was normal. I'm not sure where you are located but CNY fertility has good prices and does not have BMI limits. Best if luck to you!!
Thanks ladies! This makes me feel better! I feel like some of my doctors have told me I should really lose weight to do this and I’d love to but I’ve tried and continue to try and I have a hard time. And I don’t want to wait for a baby anymore.
I had ivf and it worked bmi was 35 as had to lose weight for it (clinic rules). We had one egg collection, three embryos and our rainbow on the third transfer (who turns 1 this weekend). Don’t give up if you’re not ready. Sending love x
My BMI was 49 (just in the limit for my clinic), and we did 1 round of IUI and were successful!! We were so shocked because we had been trying for 3 years. I'm now 10 and half weeks with our first baby.
I did IUI and was blessed on my second round to get pregnant. I used letrozole and an injection called ovadril to help me ovulate better due to PCOS. I was ~280 lbs and 29 years old. Currently 20w 6d with my little boy 🩵 Keep up the hope and good luck!
I have! Did one medicated/timed cycle, and three IUIs before we moved forward with IVF. Started STIMs in June, egg retrieval end of June. PGA testing took about two weeks. I took the month of July off for my sisters wedding and started transfer prep in Aug. Had my FET at end of Aug and we’re fortunate to have had a successful transfer. Currently 17 weeks with a baby boy. Happy to talk through the process. We’re similar in BMI so the experience for me felt very daunting given my size but turned out to be one of the most positive healthcare experiences I’ve ever had.
