How long should it take to finish a bottle?

How long does your baby take to finish their bottle (let’s say 6 oz)? It takes my baby 20 mins and I’m wondering if it’s the wrong nipple size. Also when I use the free flowing nipples he gags on the milk. FTM here and any tip is appreciated🫶

my daughter takes forever only because she gets distracted

It depends, most of the time she just guzzles it down so fast!! So maybe 5 10 min but then there are times where she gets distracted too and it takes longer. I was wondering about the nipple size too. I can't remember when I started going up to the bigger sizes with my other two. Maybe someone on here will know, I feel like she might be ready to go up from one hole in the nipple two more.

@Ashley omg the distraction is real 💀

@Ashley I breastfeed but this is true for us too 😂

@Emily my child just hangs upside 90% of the time I'm like we eating ooorrrr

5-10 minutes for 7 ounces. My daughter use to take 20-40 minutes to eat then I changed nipples and it made all the difference

5-10 minutes for 6 oz. We are still on slow flow nipples too but since she’s doing fine with them, I haven’t seen the need to go up 🤷🏼‍♀️

Change the nipple size! I started hating how long it took for her to drink it was around 20-30 minutes (including distractions). I have Dr. Brown’s bottles, I went from a size 2-3 just this week, she’s now finishing her bottle in 10-15 minutes with distractions.

My guy won't finish a bottle if it takes more than 10mins to finish he gets bored so he has been on fast flow nipples since 4.5m he does fine with it uses slow flow for water or water juice mix during solids eating since it's not as thick going to have to change his flow again soon lol boy isn't very patient at all 🤣

25 to 30 min to finish 150ml - 6 weeks baby
